Sometimes it isn’t what you have that triggers people. It’s what’s in you.

Your confidence. Your resilience. Your ability to go through things that could’ve broken you and still believe there’s something greater waiting for you on the other side.

Some people carry a jealous spirit and may not even understand what it is about you that bothers them. Sometimes your resilience confronts something within them. Your refusal to stay ashamed, shrink yourself or be defined by your past can make someone uncomfortable—especially when they’re battling their own insecurities or need to feel superior.

Your past is not proof that you’re less than. It’s proof that you made it through.

Keep your head high. Take the wisdom, the lesson and the strength with you. There is still purpose in you, and there is more ahead of you.

It was never just what was on you.
It’s what’s IN you. ✨

Sometimes confusion and chaos are invitations to pause, reflect, and reevaluate what you’re allowing into your life. 🩷

Not every storm is yours to weather, and not every situation deserves your continued participation.

Self-love requires self-awareness. It’s recognizing unhealthy patterns, trusting your discernment, and having the confidence to acknowledge when something simply isn’t aligned with you.

You can understand someone’s behavior without accepting it. You can have compassion without making someone else’s dysfunction your responsibility.

Just because you’ve learned how to survive in chaos doesn’t mean you have to make a home there.

Trust that everything is always working out for your greater good, even when that means being redirected.

Let your self-love set the standard for what you’re willing to accept. 💕

Stop being so afraid of burning bridges that lead back to places you prayed to get out of. 🔥

Some endings don’t need reconciliation. Some doors don’t need reopening. Some connections don’t need another chance. You don’t always need “closure.”Sometimes the lesson is simply to STOP GOING BACKWARDS.

You can forgive. You can heal. You can wish people well. And you can still decide there’s nothing back there for you.

Learning to say NO will save you from a lot of resentment.

You don’t have to overextend yourself to prove you’re a good person. And you definitely don’t get to voluntarily give, then make somebody pay for it emotionally later.

Give because you genuinely want to give. If you can’t do it freely, lovingly and without keeping score—say no. That’s a boundary too. 🤎

You gotta be VERY careful who you let narrate your life.

I worked too hard on the way I see, speak to and love myself to let somebody else’s inability to see my value become my inner voice.

Talk to yourself nice. Eventually, anything less starts sounding foreign.

One of the hardest lessons for people with big hearts: you cannot love, motivate or believe somebody into wanting more for themselves.

You can encourage them. Support them. Pour into them. Show them what’s possible.

But eventually you have to ask yourself if you’re helping them move forward… or exhausting yourself trying to pull them somewhere they never decided to go.

Everybody you love cannot come with you. And that doesn’t mean you stop loving them. It means you stop carrying them. 🩷

Some people will meet you in the chapter where you’re being tested and mistake it for the whole story.

Let them.

I’ve lived enough life to know that God will allow me to bend without letting me break. Every time I thought I was at the end of something, He was already making a way through it.

So I don’t speak hopelessly over my life anymore. I don’t let temporary circumstances convince me that I’ve been forgotten. And I definitely don’t let somebody else’s limited view of me become my own.

I know who I am. I know who God is. And I know this chapter isn’t the conclusion. 🙏🏾

Sometimes the blessing isn’t getting what you wanted back. It’s finally having enough discernment to stop running after what God is trying to separate you from.

Every closed door isn’t a loss. Every ending isn’t rejection. Some things have to leave so you can see how peaceful life feels when you stop fighting to keep them. The answer to your prayer may look like an ending before it ever looks like peace.

Knowing yourself means knowing what aligns with you, what doesn’t, and being willing to see things—and people—for what they are. You can have the best intentions for someone and still recognize that their perspective, expectations, or capacity may simply be different from yours.

Someone else’s limitations do not have to become your standard.

It’s not about believing you’re better than anybody. But respectfully, what’s enough for you doesn’t have to be enough for me. What you’re willing to normalize, tolerate, or remain comfortable in doesn’t have to become my standard just because I care about you.

And that’s where discernment comes in. You cannot force someone to want more for themselves, see beyond their current perspective, or rise to a standard they haven’t chosen for their own life. At some point, you have to stop trying to pull people up and make sure you’re not lowering yourself trying to meet them where they’ve decided to stay.

Let people be where they are. You don’t have to change them, judge them, or convince them. Just know yourself well enough to recognize when where they are, is no longer a place for you.

Respectfully, if they refuse to rise, let them.Stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to.
