LOST ON MY OWN TERMS // a comic

I joined the nonfiction graphic comics workshop from 14 to 19 January, excited to write my second comic. What followed was an interesting approach to creating exclusively nonfiction comics. It was an intense week filled with fast-paced sessions that summed up an enthralling work of creativity with a focus on the 'every day'.

I and @cowpout teamed up, upon being drawn to each other's ideas and worked on the collaboration that now we fondly reminisce. We were delighted to come across a fascinating story of someone whose lived experience was inspiring and relatable. The workshop ended with screenprinting the produced comics and exhibitions at Kaalo 101.

The workshop was facilitated by Erika Hoffmann-Dilloway, Professor of Anthropology at Oberlin College in the US, Julia Christensen, Professor of Studio Art at Oberlin College in the US and Promina Shrestha (Lakheni), illustrator, comics artist and visual arts researcher in collaboration with @social_science_baha and @viranganacollective
