Hello out there! I had a few people ask for videos of our recent 35th Annual John Lennon Tribute with The #9 Orchestra. That evening was wonderful and we included some songs by George and Paul. Due to unforeseen circumstances at the venue, The 35th Annual John Lennon Tribute with The #9 Orchestra show originally scheduled for Saturday, 11/29 will now take place on Saturday, 12/6. All tickets purchased for the original performance will be honored at the new date. Refunds available until 10pm on Friday, December 5th. Log in to your AXS account to request a refund.
The # 9 Orchestra apologises for any inconvenience. We have prepared a super show for you all and hope to see many of you there on 12/6 at the wonderful 3TEN Austin City Limits Live. With some people not being able to attend on our new date, some seats might become available this week. We will be there with proverbial bells on and might have a few literal bells throughout the evening. Love- Stephen

Hello and thanks,
I’m thrilled to be announcing the record release of the single “Goodness” I recently recorded with The #9 Orchestra on the eve of our 35th Annual John Lennon Tribute on Saturday, Nov 29th at ACL Live at the 3TEN. This song was recorded and mixed at EAR Studio in Austin, Texas. It was mastered at Abbey Road in London, England.
Though I wrote this for someone special to me, it’s for everyone who ‘has been through a few things in life.’ After all these decades I’m so happy this wonderful band has recorded something together. As we are a group of musicians who only ‘come together’ to pay tribute to John Lennon, and The Beatles, we have never recorded a new song before. We figured those songs don’t need to be redone. We will release this officially at the concert and have hard copies available.
Full credits are on the package. To do a record at this level, which I hope you find to be strong, is involved. So, all support is really helpful. “Goodness” is a limited release. I am very proud of this.

It does my heart great good announcing The 35th Annual John Lennon Tribute at #ACLLIVE at 3TEN on Saturday, November 29th. They contacted me about going 'live' with the tickets much earlier this year. The show has wonderfully been sold out the last few years and seating is limited. So I hope you see this as something to look forward to. That we are moving into our 35th year is astounding to me, and I'm immensely grateful for all musicians, crew, and the wonderful fans who have kept this 'love train' rolling. The #9 Orchestra is- Maria Nehring (violin), Bruce Marton (keyboards, vocals), Darin Murphy (drums, guitar, vocals), Randy Miller (bass, vocals), Stephen Jeffrey (trumpet), Sam Jeffrey (trumpet), Kelly Hodge (trombone), Steve Wilson (guitars, vocals), Shana Norton (harp), David Moerbe (percussion, drums, vocal), and myself (guitars, vocals), with special guests.

Last night I was in room full of people who have brought so much good to my life that I'm deeply touched. Thank each and every one of you who were there. The musicians, #jmstevens, #KyleBrock, #chrissearle, #willsexton, #randymiller, #brianstandefer, #davemadden, and #johnviehweg were stunning. All the work learning the songs is beyond belief. All my friends who came from around the country, as well as Austin. A special shout-out to my friends I went to high school with in Wiesbaden, Germany in the early 70s- #brucekemp, #jankemp, #brianbrill, and #janetgoleas who came from as far away as Philadelphia and Arizona. Along with many great musicians I've been blessed to work with. And dear friends galore, including my producer from Rosebud #jaypodolnick. Much thanks to fine folks at The Backstage at El Mercado- #rachelferguson, Amanda on sound, manager Craig, and the fabulous owner, #tonyvillegas. James and I have made over 80 records and film soundtracks together since the release of #stanleysmith In The Land Of Dreams in 2002. However one of favourite things in like is singing and playing with him.
