• when we first met @kunalavanti in 2018, he was producing luxury brand events, and we’d usually find ourselves shooting extravagant after films. what stayed wasn’t the spectacle - it was his creativity, compassion and endless curiosity. looking back, it almost feels inevitable that those qualities would one day turn inward. 🔴 ‘Test Subject V’ is the result of that curiosity. directed by @solkohli and Kunal Avanti, it’s a hybrid documentary that begins with a deceptively simple question: what happens when an ordinary Indian man decides to put his own life under the microscope? what follows is 6 year long journey of questioning his comfort, habit, belief—and, eventually, society. cut to 2026. we’re all sitting in the front row of that journey, cheering on with jackfruit butter “chicken” rolls in hand, our retinas blessed by the bronze contours of Kunal’s washboard abs. we may have had something to do with this spectacle. probably not as much as John Abraham, though. and by ‘spectacle’ we mean a bona fide OTT non-fiction presented by @thejohnabraham and backed by @kipandersen (the filmmaker behind The Game Changers, Cowspiracy, Seaspiracy and What the Health). we have been fortunate to play a small part in this journey through the skill and outer eye of @sdr_insignia, some method acting by @__crossthread__, and a little post-production support along the way. the film features the beautiful animations of @debjyoti.saha @goppoanimation , an original score by @bleueyedlemon and the inspiring stories of @malikabudhiraj @drnanditashah @_tripat_singh @riteishd @geneliad @danmiles__ @kuntalj catch ‘Test Subject V’ on Jio Hotstar (@jiohotstar) on July 18, 2026. grab your favourite plant-based snack while you’re at it, see what we saw and did. and if you stay till the credits, see if you spot Dot. #lightsoundsentiment #documentary #jiohotstar #new #ᴇxᴘʟᴏʀᴇᴘᴀɢᴇ by @dotfilmsco
