1 year after asking me to be his girlfriend, Keiran asked me to be his wife in front of the most perfect candy striped lighthouse!!!??!?!

Saying yes was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.

Keiran and I went to the same high school but never crossed paths during the time we were there, despite having many of the same acquaintances. We both agree that the world brought us together at the perfect time to make it work. I recognize a piece of me in him, and no one else. Maybe it’s because we are both old souls and spent the first month of us meeting, emailing letters back and forth. Or that we have been fish out of water our entire lives; estranged artists, raised in Topeka KS, that have a keen interest in music. But our love goes beyond the unspoken understanding we have of one another. He fuels my fire while also having an upmost kindness about him that keeps me grounded. He is talented in so many ways and an inspiration to my works. We are always laughing and when we are in a room together, the rest of the world fades away. He is the best friend little me always wanted and the partner I had only dreamed of, and was very close to believing did not exist. A once in a lifetime find right here in my hometown! Loving him is the easiest and most exhilarating experience I have ever had.
