POSTS STORIES REELS

On Saturday, the Convergence Group Exhibition became my very first exhibition, and honestly, it could only have been God who made it happen. I’m deeply grateful for this milestone and for how far He has brought me.

There were moments along the way when I felt discouraged and questioned whether this season would ever come, but I kept believing, kept creating, and kept trusting that my time would come. And now, I’m grateful to see one of those prayers become reality.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support, celebrate, and appreciate the works. To those who are still planning to come check them out, I truly appreciate you as well. Your support means more than you know.

And a big congratulations to all the amazing artists I had the privilege of exhibiting alongside. It was an honour to share the space and experience with you all. ❤️

This is only the beginning. More to come, by God’s grace. 🙏🏾🎨

Meet Dotun Tonade, one of our finest artists. He's known for his pencil art and his insight for creating art. A Christian painter who embraces the Kingdom.

This March, we feature his work on our Artist Column.

Stay tuned for more of his work this month.

If you'd like to be a part of our artist community and exhibit your work at The Workshop Arcade, send a DM.

It's our goal to recognise artists, not just painters but also writers, sculptors, actors and everyone in the creative arts.

Title: SAMARITAN

The Good Samaritan is more than a man in a story. He is anyone who chooses compassion over convenience, mercy over prejudice, and love over indifference.

In a world quick to judge, divide, and walk away, this work asks a timeless question: Who is my neighbour? Perhaps the better question is, Will I become a neighbour to someone in need?

The road from Jerusalem to Jericho still exists today. It is found wherever people are wounded by poverty, loneliness, injustice, rejection, grief, war, discrimination, addiction, or hopelessness. Every day, someone is waiting—not just for sympathy, but for someone willing to stop.

The Samaritan saw what others ignored. He crossed social, cultural, and religious boundaries to restore the dignity of a stranger. He reminds us that true humanity is measured not by status, background, or belief, but by our willingness to love beyond ourselves.

This painting is an invitation.

May we become people who see.
People who stop.
People who care.
People who lift.
People who restore.

Because the world does not simply need more spectators—it needs more Good Samaritans.

Title: THE GOOD SAMARITAN

In a world divided by status, tribe, religion, race, and self-interest, this work is a reminder that compassion remains one of humanity’s greatest callings.

The Samaritan is more than a man from a biblical story. The Samaritan is not remembered because of where he came from, but because of what he chose to do

A choice to stop.
A choice to see.
A choice to care.
A choice to act.

Every day, we encounter people wounded by rejection, injustice, loneliness, poverty, grief, and hardship. We can pass by, or we can become neighbors.

This piece asks a simple but profound question:

When faced with another person’s pain, who will you choose to be?

Happy New Month, everyone. 🌿🎨🖌️

Progress Update: “The Good Samaritan”

In a world that often teaches us to look away, this piece asks a different question: What does it mean to truly see and care for another person?

Every brushstroke brings this story closer to life. I’m grateful for the process and excited to share more as it unfolds. May this new month remind us to lead with compassion, extend kindness freely, and become the answer to someone’s need.

“The Good Samaritan” is still in progress.

+1 today. 🎉

Lord, thank You for the gift of life and for all You are doing in this season of my life. As I step into this new year, bless the work of my hands and breathe upon every gift You have placed inside me.

Let favor speak for me, let opportunities locate me, and let my name be mentioned in rooms that align with Your purpose for my life. May my life and creations bring glory to You. Amen. 🙏🏾 by @dotuntonade_art

Title: Vessel Unto Honor🏺

Vessel unto honor is a visual meditation on obedience, surrender, and the transformative power of faith. The piece embodies the journey of a vessel— fragile yet chosen, tested yet refined—and how through obedience, scarcity transforms into abundance. It reflects the truth that God’s purpose is fulfilled not by our strength, but through our willingness to be used.

Inspired by the story of the Widow of Zarephath and anchored in 2 Timothy 2:21 — “In a house there are many vessels… if a man therefore purge himself, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use” — this painting explores the journey of a vessel called to purpose. Like the widow who gave the last of her resources in faith, the work captures the tension between scarcity and divine provision, fear and courage, limitation and sufficiency.

Through layered textures and deliberate forms, the piece invites viewers to see both the fragility and resilience of a heart willing to surrender to God’s plan. It encourages reflection on the choices we make when called to act in obedience, even when resources are few and the outcome uncertain.

This painting is not only to be observed but felt. It challenges and inspires the audience to consider their own readiness: Am I a vessel prepared for honor? Am I yielding fully to divine purpose? In experiencing this work, one encounters both the beauty and weight of living a life consecrated to God’s will.

🎨Before honor comes the pouring. Before glory, the process. Becoming vessels unto honor. This is not the finished work, but this is the refining. Vessels are still being prepared. #work_in_progress 🏺#vessels_unto_honor
