One of Thailand’s everyday favorites, traditionally made with meat, chili, garlic and holy basil, served over rice with a fried egg.

Testing our own take for Rural, and manyaman ya talaga. As for me, YES. I had to order two today. 😂

This was never a one man show; I am just part of a whole.

To the Rural team, Pampanga State University, Ms. Santy Li, and of course, my very supportive fiancée who works tirelessly and is there beside me every step of the way. Congratulations to all of us.

I am truly grateful for our award and what we have achieved but this is just a bonus. The work we put in, the process, and genuine intentions to help our community - panalo na tayo lahat. by @doubledatsss

For us at Rural, to be nominated was already more than enough. To receive this recognition is something we quietly hold with so much gratitude.

We built this project for almost a year — not with anything grand, but with pure hard work. Saturdays spent on trainings, countless small steps, and the dedication of people who believed in this vision.

Alger & Elena have always been simple entrepreneurs. The kind who trust that everyday efforts will lead somewhere good. Not ones for the limelight — but today, we share this moment because we are grateful.

This project was never about awards or titles. It was about doing what makes the heart happy and creating something meaningful for entrepreneurs in Guagua.

We didn’t expect this, but we believe God always takes you to places when your intentions are pure.

With the help of Pampanga State University, Ms. Santy Li, and our partners, quiet efforts turned into something impactful. Proof that consistency and collaboration can grow into something bigger than we imagined.

Congratulations to Alger & the whole Rural Bar and Cafe family. This one is for the community, for the entrepreneurs, and for everyone who believed.

That’s Ruru, our carabao — and yes, he’s a real one.
He lives in the compound and has quietly become an icon here at Rural. You’ll spot him on our cups, but if you’re lucky, you might even catch him around the place. 🐃

We kept his spirit in the little things — like our coffee.
Warm, familiar, and made for slow days.

Give us a visit sometime.
Coffee’s waiting — and maybe Ruru too.
