UNREAL!!Another blue marlin todayThat's 3 marlin on 3 successive trips! This one was close to 300 lbs and put up great fight for our angler today. Completely blessed to have had this opportunity! Unbelievable but we caught another marlin today. Ian caught this hatchet marlin while mahi fishing offshore. We saw the marlin swimming under a weed patch and we trolled by it with the lures out but no luck. I quickly spun the boat around and Billy pitch a live goggle eye on 20 lb spin and Ian went to work and did a great job landing and releasing this fish. Great day with Steve and his Dad (also Steve). We caught quite a few mahis and on our way in we hooked, landed and released a beautiful blue marlin. Lots of mahis offshore plus this awesome blue marlin that we hooked. He ate one of our mahis on a spinning rod. We had the pleasure of fishing with Kirill Marchenko @marchenkokirill86 of the NHL team the Columbus Blue Jackets and his father in law today. Kirill not only caught his first billfish (sailfish) but also his second and third. They caught 3-4 sailfish as well as some mahis and kingfish.
