A frequently asked question I receive is: “What happens when one of them wakes up in the middle of the night?”

One of mom’s dreaded moments… one baby waking the other and suddenly you’re up all night trying to get two babies back to sleep.

But somehow, co-sleeping and co-regulation turned them into a tiny subconscious response team. 🤍 One twin will wake up and ask for comfort in some way, and the other — without even fully waking — responds. Here, Maple turns over, gets back into their comfort position, and stays completely asleep. No disruption. No fuss. Just an almost telepathic little adjustment… and within seconds, they’re both peacefully back to sleep like nothing ever happened. It honestly feels like magic sometimes.

They have the whole crib… and still choose this 🤍

Maple woke up, realized her person wasn’t close enough, and made it her mission to fix that—wiggling, squeezing, and scooting her way into the tiniest space just to be near Fiona. A gentle little head tap like, “turn this way.”

And somehow… Fiona understands the assignment without even waking up—just adjusts, turns, and meets her right there.

Nose to nose, breathing each other in…

All that space… but they just need each other 🤍

They spray. They wipe. I follow behind for quality control. 😂

Windows, floors, laundry, feeding the dogs—they love helping with chores, especially when the spray bottles come out. It’s extra work for me, but they feel included and proud.

Found a cute little playground—didn’t realize it required a hands-on-hips entrance. 😂

Fiona and Maple spontaneously wrote their first F and M, and I caught it on video! 🥹 Fiona added two more F’s, just to make sure. 🤍

Maple wakes up, notices Fiona is still awake, and whispers, “Are you okay?” before nuzzling in to comfort her back to sleep.

A necklace for a bridal headpiece, hugs for Lola, and a castle built together—with some very sweet MagnaTile negotiations. 🥹

Our word of the week was “collaborating,” and they put it into practice. 🤍

Then Fiona had to take a call over dinner. Maple explained she had work to do. Apparently, collaborating doesn’t pay the bills. 😂📞
