Douce Angoisse is a French musical entity where darkwave, synthpop, and electronic echoes intertwine to form a world of shadowed beauty. Its name — “Sweet Anguish” — captures the delicate tension between melancholy and desire, between light fading and darkness unfolding.

Through verses sung in French, Spanish, and English, Douce Angoisse weaves poetry steeped in longing, solitude, and mystery. Each song is a fragment of a nocturnal dreamscape, where love becomes both salvation and curse, and despair turns into something strangely luminous.

Since its emergence, the project has released a series of haunting singles and albums that explore the boundaries of emotion and sound.

Embraced by the darkwave and alternative scenes, Douce Angoisse has appeared at festivals across Europe, Latin America, and North America, enchanting audiences with hypnotic rhythms and an ethereal voice that lingers like a ghost in the dark.
