Started working on the transcription about 6 years, but backed off completing it as I didn’t have the chops to nail the finale altissimo roast… 6 years of shedding later I made it a festive project to get this down once and for all! @geraldalbright ‘s solo on this is just phenomenal: tone for days on end, huge inspiration. This is the solo from Against All Odds on @officialphilcollins live album Hot Night in Paris. Enjoy! Looking forward to the next challenge in 2023 #sax #altosax #saxsolo #transcription #altissimo #blast #geraldalbright #philcollins #againstallodds by @doug.cave

Xav Clarke - Harrison Digital Ford Dust

Such a joyful sound!

Half the tunes produced by @miketunng , half of em by me, all of them oozing with Xav’s zest for life! I loved making this record and am loving tucking in again today with fresh ears

As ever: Go watch them do it live! Xav and band on tour from today 🌞 by @doug.cave

Love @__yetii_ and love Giant Wafer! Impeccable few days in wales recording these guys and just listening to them cook . The last record was tracked in a huge reverberant auditorium in Cardiff, I can now confirm that they sound just as good in a dry studio

The 3 fingers in pic 1 was supposed to denote ‘album 3’ rather than some poor attempt at a gang sign…

Swapped back to my fave sputnik mic on the bass drum after I took pic 4, it just works by @doug.cave

2025 was a super solid year! I love assembling the annual reel as its a great memory jogger for much cool stuff went down… V glad that you can now make 3 minute reels as there’s a fair bit to cram in this time.

Loads and loads of recording, playing, mixing and producing. A serious amount of screen time. Wouldn’t have it any other way though when you get to work with this cast of legends:

@stevietoddler @dr.chonk.dr.chonk.dr.chonk @lovescene_official @olimorrismusic @tamasene_ @jackbaldus @thegoodstuffgoodstuff @tristanc0le @danielnewberrymusic @deems.experiment @marcoseghene @tompennymusic @lawianywar @edgraves @xav_xav_xav , as well home dogs @cousinkula and @hippohippohippohippohippo

Back at it now finishing some big projects and albums in 2026 - reach out if you think we’d be well matched to work on your music 🎧 Happy new year everybody by @doug.cave
