Virginia LULAC Member Douglas Mejia is running for Herndon Town Council.

Service has always been at the heart of Douglas's journey. As a bilingual registered nurse, mentor, volunteer, and community advocate, he has dedicated his life to helping others; whether caring for patients, inspiring future healthcare professionals, conducting community wellness screenings, or giving back through Virginia LULAC.

Now, he's ready to continue that same commitment through public service by running for the Herndon Town Council.

From volunteering in his church and teaching technology while attending nursing school to mentoring students, caring for patients, and advocating for Latino families, Douglas's journey has been defined by service. Discover what inspired him to take the next step into public office and the vision he has for the community he calls home.
