Isn’t this a thing of beauty? I love the blues and I love my blue steel guitar from @muleresonatorguitars! If you’re so inclined to hear it in person, stay up late with me this weekend and come down to @mezzrowjazzclub this Friday and Saturday at the stroke of midnight…actually get there early and hear one of the greatest musicians on the globe @jonkellso and his swinging quartet! I’ll be alone, singing and playing some standards and maybe a few originals and very likely nothing from the Sabrina Carpenter Songbook. Just me and a blue guitar, late on a spring Manhattan evening, absolutely singing the Blues.

(Mark your calendars now for Dec. 3-5 at Dizzy’s @jazzdotorg for another Late Night Way Past Old Man’s Bedtime following the main sets by the utterly amazing @mimifoxjazz organ band!) by @dougwamble

Now that Ziggy got your attention…I’m never on socials these days but I’m playing some gigs this spring in the city @mezzrowjazzclub and I want to see you there!

A few years back, @morganajames and I got to go back to my hometown to make a record, and a bassist I did not know was recommended to us named Landon Moore. He was truly the MVP of the session. Made all the bass parts sing im a way I could never imagine, and was the most joyful and fun and pro human and musician one could ever ask for.

Well, Landon and his beautiful family lost everythjng in a tragic house fire last week. The loss and pain is unimaginable, but thankfully no lives were lost. In these dire times our world is in, all we have is love. All we have is family and community. So if you go to my story, you will find a link to the GoFundMe to help @landoco and his family deal with this horrific event.

Show some love to a musician who is a vital part of the Memphis music and education community!

We love you, Landon and we got your back! by @dougwamble

I’m excited to finally share something I’ve been working on behind the scenes: The Legends Guitar Bundle. 🎸 This collection brings together some of the most iconic guitar tones, riffs, rhythms, and textures we’ve ever recorded at Yurt Rock — everything from soulful blues phrases to funky rhythm chops to cinematic ambient layers. If you produce, write, or just love collecting inspiring sounds, this one’s got so much vibe baked into it.

Inside the bundle, you’ll get performances from @charliehunterguitar @ella_rae_feingold @richhinman @dougwamble and @adamlevyguitar each bringing their own signature tone and feel. It includes over 19 GB of loops, samples, and multitracks covering clean, crunch, and overdriven tones, plus DI and amp versions, multiple tempos, keys, and styles. In addition, we also included Logic and Ableton sessions, giving you total control over the mix and arrangements.

Everything comes 100% royalty-free, meticulously mixed, and ready to drop into any DAW. Hope these sounds inspire you as much as they inspired us while making them. 🙌 by @dougwamble

The world lost a true original today. Ken Parker completely changed the guitar building community, more than once. The first time I played one of his masterpiece acoustic archtop guitars, I was speechless. It was like nothing I’d ever heard or seen. But that experience was practically meaningless compared to what he brought into my life with his friendship.

Ken had been battling cancer for a couple of years, and through it all, even up until last week when we had our final conversation, he remained joyful. He said “What a ride! What a life I’ve lived!” I aspire to his level in more ways than one.

Ken leaves an unfillable hole in this universe, but then again, maybe not. I’ll never forget him and won’t ever stop talking about him and remembering his singular humanity. RIP my friend. by @dougwamble
