After many miles of support and nearly a decade as a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association, we are delighted to announce that Doug MacLean of Moneco Advisors has joined our chapter Board of Advisors. Doug is inspired by his mother, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 60 in 2016, and is now working to educate and support those in the community just starting the dementia journey. Doug has also run multiple marathons around the world, raising money for dementia research. 🏃

"I’m so pleased to be on the board," Doug shared, "and look forward to bringing my background and personal commitment to help both the board and the Association continue to grow and thrive."

Welcome, Doug, and thank you for your continued passion for the mission! 💜 #ENDALZ by @dougymac5

Still soaking it all in from yesterday’s Boston Marathon — what an unforgettable day. I’m beyond grateful for all the love and support from everyone who cheered me on and backed my run for the Alzheimer’s Association. Together, our team raised over $529,337 to fund critical research and move us one step closer to a cure. Every mile was for my mom and the millions of others affected by this disease. Thank you for being part of this fight with me. Next stop- Berlin Marathon #EndALZ #BostonMarathon #Running4Mom by @dougymac5

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to share that I’ll be running the Boston Marathon next week as part of the Alzheimer’s Association team, and I need your support to make this race even more meaningful! As you know, Alzheimer's has been a big part of my journey since my mom’s diagnosis, and running for this cause has been my way of raising awareness and funds to help end this disease.

This race is so special to me, as it brings me back to where it all started. In 2017, my very first race was the Boston Half Marathon, and it meant the world to me because my mom was there, cheering me on. Now, years later, I’m running the full marathon, and I’m proud to say this will be my 3rd major U.S. marathon with the Alzheimer’s Association.

It’s amazing how this journey has come full circle, and I can’t think of a better way to honor my mom and all the families impacted by Alzheimer’s. If you’re able to support my run with a donation, it would mean the world to me—and every penny goes toward funding crucial research and care. Let’s end Alzheimer’s together!

Check the link in my bio for more info on donating !

Thank you for your love, support, and encouragement over the years. I’m ready to go all in, just like I always have.

Chicago Marathon ✅. Thank you to the @alzassociation for all of the help and support this weekend running the @chimarathon. Collectively our team raised over $900,000 which is amazing!! Time to rest up and recover for a couple weeks because I’ll be running the @nycmarathon on November 3rd with the @alzassociation @alzct. I’ll be launching a fundraising page this week for the NYC marathon so stay tuned. #ENDALZ 💜 by @dougymac5
