What better place to visit now than Israel! Had an incredible trip with family, celebrating Meir's Bar Mitzvah. Seeing firsthand the bravery of the soldiers and resilience of civilians, as well as visiting the sites of our long heritage. It was truly a remarkable and fun experience. What a display of Jewish pride at Shabbat 1000! We were joined by more than 1000 students for a beautiful Shabbat dinner on Severance St. The haters cannot divide us. We unite, we stand proud, and we grow. Am Yisroel Chai! ✡️ taken in Chabad @ USC by @dovid_junik

Grievance. Anger. Hope.
I’m filled with emotion now as I open my phone after the two-day holiday of Shemini Atzeret. There were constant flows of people coming in to share updates with us. But it’s only now, after the holiday, that I’m back on my phone and seeing the imagery and magnitude of the atrocities being performed by Hamas, the Gazan government, and Islamic Jihad. The killing of hundreds of innocent Israeli civilians, the abduction of more than a hundred, and the thousands injured, as well as millions being forced into bomb shelters. My heartfelt prayers and grievances to the many families and communities forever hurt by the terror acts.

It’s been encouraging to see the support of many organizations and people internationally; but at the same time, it’s been angering and disgraceful to see the “neutral” messaging of countries, leaders, organizations, and others who refuse to call out terrorism straight out. These are often the same people who are swift to call out other forms of bigotry, racism, terrorism, and atrocities. The age-old bias of anti-Semitism is alive and well, unfortunately. Thank God, we live in a free country to call it out.

But I have hope for a better future. From our scars we build families, we build connections, we build on our hope for a better future. AM YISROEL CHAI. The Jewish nation has survived the hate, the murders, the persecutions for generations. And we will continue to survive, through unity, Jewish pride, and through faith.

Consider doing a Mitzvah in their honor and keep them in your prayers. taken in Israel ישראל by @dovid_junik
