Downforce Designs is built on three beliefs:

Authentically Race-Inspired — Every piece had to feel like it came from trackside. No manufacturing shortcuts. Months of original design, 50+ carbon fiber texture samples, and hundreds of small tweaks before we were satisfied. Each Front Wing is an original abstract interpretation of ground effect aerodynamics, handcrafted in a process that takes over 10 hours.

Elevated — Motorsport memorabilia has always been either untouchable replicas or cheap plastic parts. We built the third option with an artistic angle: premium resin construction, automotive-grade gloss finish, zero automation from start to finish.

Dynamic — Motorsport identity is never static. Neither is yours. Every Front Wing ships with a built-in knife groove, inviting you to be part of the final artwork. Customizable with vinyl, paint, or any medium — reimagine a historic livery, or build your own racing identity from scratch.

Part 2 of painting Lewis Hamilton on a front wing: FERRARI 🐎🏎️

I’m having a lot of fun with this project, a tribute to Lewis Hamilton’s racing career. First, it was his time at Mercedes. Now, it’s Ferrari, specifically his first win in red at Barcelona this year.

Less than a year after the beginning of our journey pursuing elevated motorsport artwork, we feel grateful that our work has managed to reached the attention of Formula 1 drivers.

This livery was designed as part of our Custom Livery Service, where the reference was a 2024 Canada GP Pirelli Podium Cap. Printed in automotive-grade 3M wrap and precision cut for the final application. To learn more about custom wings, click the link in bio.

Hand painted F1 front wing inspired by Monaco race day 🇲🇨🏎️

A totally different canvas to what I’m used to, but that what makes my job so fun I guess.

With a canvas this shape, I really wanted to use the full height of the front body section to represent Monaco. The Fairmont hairpin felt like the perfect part of the track, and it’s one of the most iconic corners in F1.

I also wanted to show the evolution of the F1 car itself, so you’ve got three different generations all going into one corner.
