„Do you know where you are?“ 🔥

It’s the year 2000. Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water drops and completely takes over the world. „My Generation“ is pure, unadulterated Nu-Metal energy and features one of Wes Borland’s most iconic, bouncing riffs!
Is this the ultimate 2000s Nu-Metal album for you? Let’s hear it in the comments! 👇

Pure 2000s nostalgia! This main riff is an absolute classic and still goes incredibly hard. 🐜🎸
@jerryhorton mastered the art of combining melodic lead lines with heavy, chugging rhythm sections.

No Nu-Metal channel without @korn_official ! It all started with them in Bakersfield back in 1994. 🌾☠️
„Reclaim My Place“ was never a hit single, but it’s a hidden gem on their iconic break-trough record Follow The Leader — and easily my personal favorite Korn song of all time!
Capturing that gritty, ultra-heavy low-end required blending the OrangeRockerNu with the Mesa Rectifier Nu patches to get that massive, punchy mid-2000s crunch…. and a Digitech The Drop to take my Ibanez from Drop C to Drop A💪
How do you like the final guitar tone on this one? Let me know below! 👇

If you’re into playing heavy guitar, @robarnoldworld ‘s YouTube channel and playthroughs are an absolute goldmine and a constant source of inspiration.
„Down Again“ from @chimairaband ‘s iconic album The Impossibility of Reason is a masterclass in mid-2000s Metalcore riffing — tight, aggressive, and incredibly melodic.

Who else grew up jamming to Chimaira? Let’s hear your favorite track in the comments! 👇

„Crawling in the Dark“ by @hoobastank is such a clever piece of riff-writing. The way Dan Estrin alternates between tight, muted verse rhythms and huge, wide open chorus chords is so flawless and marked the path from post-grunge to NuMetal in the early 2000s.

Who remembers blasting this track back in the day? Let’s hear your favorite Hoobastank song in the comments! 👇

I remember lugging around my beloved Peavey 6505 and a 4x12 cab I had like 15 years ago. Modern guitar equipment is just so sleek and compact… you don’t need to carry heavy to get great heavy tones.
From 40kg of tube power to a compact modeler that delivers massive, crushing high-gain riffs in seconds. We truly live in the best era for guitarists! 🎸🔥

Are you Team Digital Modelers or still lugging tube amps? Let me know in the comments!

36 Crazyfists Live in Cologne (Summer 2008) was one of the hottest and intense live shows I’ve ever seen. 🔥
„The Heart And The Shape“ from the legendary A Snow Capped Romance album is pure emotion, heavy grooves, and timeless riffing. Steve Holt’s guitar tone and Brock’s unique vocal delivery defined a whole era for so many of us in the mid-2000s and built a bridge between NuMetal and Metalcore.

Who else was obsessed with 36 Crazyfists back then? What’s your favorite track from them? Let’s hear it in the comments! 👇

Built on stage, refined in the studio. ⚡🔈

Digging through the archives today! Playing live teaches you one crucial thing as a guitarist: your tone and your playing need to hit HARD. That raw, punchy energy you need on stage is what I put into every preset I’ve build to this day.

Pure French Nu-Metal madness! 🇫🇷🔥
Taking it back to 2003 with „Street Trash“ by @enhancer_officiel ! The whole Team Nowhere movement (Enhancer, Pleymo, AqME...) brought such a raw, unique energy to the European scene back in the day. This main riff is absolute bounce perfection!
Who remembers this era of French Nu-Metal? Drop your favorite band in the comments! 👇
