There’s something special about seeing Smith Park dressed for the holidays. And come Saturday, December 5th, this historic little corner of downtown Jackson will be ready to celebrate!

Think carriage rides, live entertainment, photos with Santa, and plenty of Christmas cheer beneath the trees.

We’ve got a wonderful evening in store for you, Jackson, and this is just the beginning.

There’s still time to share your #MusicMoves and win!!

While the Levitt AMP Downtown Jackson Music Series has come to an end for 2026, the #MusicMoves Instagram contest hasn’t! That’s right, you still have a chance to win a pair of Apple AirPods Pro, and to help Downtown Jackson Partners receive a $5,000 grant so we can bring you even more free, live music!

How? Just submit up to three of your best concert photos, videos, or Levitt-inspired creations on Instagram with the hashtag #MusicMoves in the caption before Nov. 2, 2026. All forms of creative expression are welcome—from photos and videos, to drawings, poems, and even songs.

UPDATE: So many of you have asked about rescheduling, but due to other events already scheduled at the Museum and the large number of partners and their schedules taking part in this event, it sadly is not possible. We will be back next year, though!! Due to the strong possibility of adverse weather from the coming storm, we’ve made the decision to cancel Barktoberfest.

🎶We're going full-on Mississippi TONIGHT!! Kick the weekend off early in a BIG way with two great bands, hailing from the Magnolia State: Grits & Greens from the Hub City and opening for them, JT McCaffrey Music from southwest Mississippi. And in keeping with the theme, some good Southern style food will be available from Shivers Creek Fish House's food truck and the Mayflower Cafe (place an order with them in advance for pickup).

Wellness is for every body.

Grateful to everyone who met me on the mat this past Saturday for the second class of the Sipp&Stretch series. (🔗link in bio for email list) I don’t know how many times I heard “I needed this” but it is a sweet reminder that we all deserve time to be present in our bodies, mindful of our emotions, and willing to show up for ourselves.

We’ll be on our mats this Saturday, starting at 9:00 AM (ish 😂) at the green space right outside of @sippsi_good_tea. And then you can float your way over to Sippsi and grab a refreshing tea, stay for a while and yap with your folks or meet a stranger, then go into the weekend knowing your prioritized your wellbeing first.
