Korean BBQ, but conveniently all in one box!

Korean BBQ is fun and all, but we're here for you when you just have a craving but not enough time to sit and grill it yourself

Anyone who follows @thekoreanmama and watches her videos knows just how much joy she brings with her fun personality and willingness to try and do so many things. We have been big fans, like so many, ever since we first stumbled upon her account.

When we realized she lives in Portland, we were like "wouldn't it be so cool if she ever came to our truck someday?"...but said in that sort of fun hypothetical daydream kind of way. So when we saw her smiling face out in the pouring rain from our window...it was pretty damn exciting.

To have her and her son come, and enjoy our food as much as she did, to transport her back to Korea for a moment, it really just meant the world and then some. We love what we do and love that we get to share a piece of Korea here in the PNW 🇰🇷

Introducing our baby to our first baby was pretty surreal. Hoping to encourage this little one to chase dreams, have some grit, and enjoy really good food. by @doyajipdx

Hi everyone!

Kims here with a little update for the next couple weeks! While simultaneously starting a new restaurant, we've also been starting our family and the time has come to meet this little one soon, so we are stepping away from our restaurant babies to bond with our human baby. Please be patient and kind with our amazing staff holding things down at both Bbang and Doyaji as they graciously allow us time away for the start of this new chapter.

Thank you so much for the support! 🫶 by @doyajipdx

Well hey there, it's been a minute!

Since opening our sister restaurant @bbangpdx in February, our main focus has naturally shifted to settling in to a new business, staff, and space and our first business baby has taken a bit of a backseat.

Although full of mannnyyy highlights and incredible experiences + connections, our first three years of food truck life were riddled with endless hardship - not to mention what felt like endless repairs and tow rides. We put blood, sweat, tears, and then some into our first business and to leave it unattended in the hands of others was a terrifying step to take.

We've had some inevitable bumps and rough feedback here and there throughout the transition and now that we're getting to the point of some great new faces joining the team and settling into life with two businesses, we just wanted to thank you for hanging in there throughout the process and the continued support!

Much love from the OG team! ✌️ by @doyajipdx
