Today, I’m not just celebrating another year of my life. I’m celebrating my journey—the person I was, the person I am, and the person I’m still becoming.

Happy birthday to me. 🥂🎂

Looking back, I realize I’ve come farther than I sometimes give myself credit for. There were days I smiled when I wasn’t okay. Days I told people I was fine when deep down I was fighting battles nobody knew about. There were moments I questioned myself, my abilities, my decisions, and even wondered if the dreams in my heart would ever become reality.

But somehow, I kept going.

I’ve experienced disappointment. I’ve lost people I thought would always be there. I’ve watched some friendships fade, experienced heartbreak, made mistakes, trusted the wrong people, and had moments where life simply didn’t go the way I wanted.

There were times I felt behind.
Times when I looked around and wondered why everyone seemed to be moving forward while I was still trying to figure things out.

But today, I understand something: my journey doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s.

I’m learning to stop comparing my chapter to someone else’s entire story.

I’m learning that success doesn’t always happen overnight. Sometimes, success is simply waking up after a difficult night and deciding to try again. Sometimes it’s continuing to chase a dream even when you don’t have everything you need yet.

And honestly, I’m proud of myself for that.

I may not be where I want to be yet, but I’m definitely not where I used to be.
So on this birthday, I don’t want to wish only for money, success, or material things.

I wish for peace.

Peace of mind.
Genuine happiness.
Good health.
Real friendships.
Love that doesn’t come with pain.
Opportunities that change my life.
The wisdom to recognize them when they come.
And the strength to keep going when life gets difficult.

I pray that the next chapter of my life brings me closer to the man I dream of becoming.

May I never lose myself while trying to become successful.
