Designers Guild 💙

It’s hard to comprehend that I will not be able walk through these famous doors anymore.

Designers Guild was a powerhouse in the world of Interiors for 56years. From selling the wallpapers and fabrics at the Brewers Guildford showroom, Clare Cook my rep at the time knew my passion for the colours and designs. This led to the start of my journey as a concession manager at DG in Selfridges to then having a call a few years later with Tricia and Simon asking me to manage and run the Marylebone Store.
I was so proud to manage a brilliant team and work alongside the best people at Head Office, the warehouse and Kings Road for 18years!! DG Marylebone was a beautiful store and we served so many lovely clients and customers. Friendships were made. My right hand girl at work and personal life @sarahbruce2228 who I couldn’t have done the journey without her.

What a privilege it was to work with the most incredible fabrics, patterns, wall coverings, home accessories, furniture, rugs. Collating these products into home designs/interiors for our customers. We were filling homes with colour and joy! Each Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter collection brought more incredible palettes.

Behind the scenes it was people at DG that carried the strength of these designs. It was one thing having beautiful products, creating them, marketing them, ordering them from suppliers, selling them, stocking and delivering them needed a team of people that married that strength. And DG had the very best people! It ran through our blood, it was and will always be part of us. There was something incredibly special we had being part of this journey that only those who were there understand.

It was a great platform for those who have gone onto great careers and job opportunities and for me personally it led to the next stage of my chapter working with @blindfashionblinds As a supplier to DG it meant for the last 2years they remained as one of my top account customers. Still going through the doors at KR to assist the team with blind and curtain orders. I also get to see many of ex DG ladies at various design practices.
