A little vulnerability as scary as that may sound. I’m at a point in my life where everywhere I turn, there’s an obstacle.

Literally…every aspect of my life right now feels like it has something attached to it.

And don’t get me wrong. I’ve had plenty of hard days, hard months, even hard years in my lifetime. But even in those seasons, there was usually some goodness mixed in. Moments where I could catch my breath. Moments where I could see things getting a little better, even if just for a minute.

Right now, I’m having a hard time catching my breath.

I don’t know how to balance it all. Because it’s not just one thing. It’s layers. And just when I think maybe I can handle what’s already on my plate, another layer gets added.

I’m tired.

I wish I could say I have some great perspective on all of this. I don’t. I’m just trying to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

But I keep thinking about Psalm 121:

“Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

Maybe that’s where I need to stop trying so hard to figure it all out.

Because my help isn’t supposed to come from me being strong enough. Or worthy enough. Or having all the answers.

My help comes from Him.

He is holding me.

Another thing no one can prepare your heart for….saying goodbye again. We had the sweetest three day weekend but it truly wasn’t long enough. May God guide her, protect her, and continue to grow her into exactly who He created her to be. I’m so proud of her. ❤️ by @dpathoumthong

I believe this is the hardest part that no one really talks about. Your built in best friend moves out. I’m so glad they’ve had each other all these years. It’s definitely not the end, but just a new season. I can’t wait to see this kid thrive his sophomore year in this new chapter of life. #siblingsofgraduates by @dpathoumthong

I’ve gotten a lot of questions lately, “why the change?”
The truth is God was working behind the scenes all year long and I hate to use the term “God winks”, but truly there were so many throughout the year. They were all pieces of the puzzle that HE was putting together and then came the day before college decision day after committing to LSU, the letter with her Loyola award would blow your mind! Okay, God! This is where you want Eva to shine and make a difference for you. In the city she loves, with new faces. The winks? Her homecoming theme for the parade- New Orleans, Christmas in Nola meeting Leslie Odom Jr, on the whim decision to do senior pics in Nola, her last production…Hadestown, but Nola style. All of this done before we knew this was the place. Pray as she prepares and know there will be many Magazine Street day trips in my future. ❤️💛 #loyolaneworleans by @dpathoumthong
