so... 2025 has been too much for me to put into words for myself, let alone shape it into a nice caption for a post.

but if anything, i think that this year i was truly blessed to meet some of the loveliest people in my life (so far), and to also be reminded of some individuals and special moments that still hold a place in my heart. and what better way to appreciate them than to use all the photos i've taken over the year!?

i don't even think 20 slides would be enough if i included all the photos i wanted to include - there are still so many people who me and my camera both remember, so many special moments...

this is for the friends and family who have been a blessing and deep comfort through all the frustrations, anxieties and messes this year. and also all the amazing milestones i've had the privilege of witnessing

love u all. i hope i can take more photos in 2026

i will be starting a visual diary on IG for my photos, and embracing ugly unfiltered posting once again. if you find it, congrats!

so… i guess i spoke too soon last year. haha

it’s been a privilege to be here again. even though it has been painful balancing camp comms & church work, the things i’ve seen, heard and experienced over the past 4 days have made the grind truly worth it.

my time here actually ended a month ago, but would i do these 4 years in hopeuni again? you already know what i will say to that.

God is doing a great work in all of us; may we choose to walk with Him, and see that work come to fruition.

i just knew there would be a good use for all the old photos & videos i archived!!!

this is a small tribute for the lifegroups i’ve been a part of in student ministry:
- North C5
- TPB3 then TPC1
- NS Holiness

as i step out of this ministry (FOR REAL THIS TIME) and into adults, i just want to thank God and appreciate everyone i’ve crossed paths with.

thank you to all the leaders and mentors who have journeyed with me and my struggles @melvin_meow_ @jianyang9010 @neesonngahh @lingyixinn @77isaiahkhoo @gordonnsoh ! they have poured out their time, wisdom and heart into my life, and i’m truly grateful for how i have been supported and spurred on towards Christ.

to those who have had the misfortune of being in the same LG as me 😆 thank you for putting up with me and being the people i look forward to seeing every week! have been so blessed by your presence and to also witness all your different milestones

beyond lifegroups, there are still so many people who have played a part in my time here. if i were to include everyone in the tribute i think it would become a documentary…

but know that i appreciate ALL of you, and know that your memory will live on forever in my 1TB hard drive and the HDDs/SDDs to come! truly your stories will be spoken of to my children and grandchildren 👨‍🦳

may we all love and pursue God even more in the years to come, and to those who have walked away, i’m sure that God will call you back someday!

NS obligations done and dusted!

walking into pasir ris interchange 2 years ago, i would have never expected to be a crew chief wearing blue, talking to pilots and working with fighter jets - i wouldn’t even know what a crew chief was… yet here we are. not many people can truthfully say that they get planes flying everyday, or have touched a F15SG and seen its inner workings; but i have the privilege to say that.

when i was posted here, i had a choice whether to be a spec flight NSF or a flightline crew NSF. in hindsight, i honestly don’t regret choosing to join 807SQN. it’s true that i dreaded going to work everyday here; the graveyard shifts suck, i end every day exhausted and smelling like sweat and oil, there’s always “police” going around catching us on the job, and it’s stressful being solely responsible for the airworthiness of an entire plane.
but hardships build character, and i think i would have been a different person if i chose to stay as a spec flight NSF.

and in spite of all these frustrations, i’ve met a lot of solid people here - both NSFs and regulars. i’ve been blessed to have good friends and colleagues give me rides into base, help me with my work, and watch my back for me - and i would gladly do the same. in these 2 years i’ve also experienced God’s faithfulness and miracles at work and in every other aspect of my life. I’m thankful especially for my lifegroup and my other close friends who give me something to look forward to every week - you know who you are.

it’s a bummer i didn’t get to go for any detachments but i’m still grateful to God for these 2 years, for the experiences, struggles, personal growth, and the pleasure to have known all these people i would otherwise never have met. shout out to the day ones from orion coy platoon 2 section 2, yall are the greatest to ever do it!!!

SCHOOLGIRL BYEBYE ASIA TOUR

first concert i attended in my lifetime, was a super great experience hearing them in person and everyone enjoying the music was just so vibes… never understood people buying concert tickets until now.

to the person beside me who left halfway for whatever reason and allowed the space for me to see shengzai, and the bartender who exchanged paynow for cash so people could buy the merch - God bless yall man 🥹 by @dpl_27

to my last uni camp. a bittersweet feeling

i came in to camp excited, but also tired and bitter about my circumstances and seemingly unanswered prayers. i had no objectives, except to find a reason to give my all to God again.

in this camp, God dug out a spiritual guilt which i had buried under and forgot about. a guilt from my own failures to submit to Him and my lukewarm living in this whole season. if there was a checklist of all God wanted me to do, i felt like i hadn’t even checked a single box. call it a spiritual attack or something else, but i had grown weary because of these expectations of being a Christian, and because of the situations and struggles in other parts of my life. i had settled on fulfilling my “Christian duty”day in and day out, and simply being “good enough”.

how could i respond to submit to God, when i’ve failed in so many things? i projected into the future, and the thought that i would just fail again hindered me from making a response.

but the Spirit spoke. “if you don’t go now, you will never go again, and you will stay here forever.”

forcing myself to respond set me free. i was reminded of an unconditional, unrelenting love that goes beyond the doing. God loves me, not for what i can do for him, but because i am His son. He knows me fully, my coming and going, and He cares faithfully even when i am faithless, even when i have done nothing to earn love but everything to throw it away. it set me free, and i felt such a deep, moving, fulfilling joy which i had never felt since the day i accepted Jesus into my life 8 years ago. the joy of salvation, the joy of being known and loved fully. honestly, it brought me to tears.

if God loves me, then i want to love Him back.

snippets from serving in ABIDE conference 2024. every single year it’s an experience like no other, seeing so many people coming together to worship God. thankful to all my fellow volunteers using their talents & gifts to make this happen too
