Bethany had an amazing day at the 2026 UIL State Track & Field meet! She set new State Records for Conference 2A in both shot put and discus. She had the best shot put throw of the day across all conferences. Her 48'-9.5" shot mark is a new PR. In discus, she threw 152'-9" against a fairly strong headwind. So proud of her! Way to go, Bethany! by @dpreusse

Bethany competed at the Nike Indoor National Meet in New York on March 12th-13th in both the shot put and weighted throws. She placed 4th place in the weighted throw with a new PR mark of 17.01 meters (55'-09.75"), making her an All American and ranking her 10th in the nation. She placed 14th in shot put. by @dpreusse

Bethany had a good indoor meet in Owasso Oklahoma (Feb 7, 2026). She took 1st place in both shot put and weighted throw. She's making good progress as she works her way to Nationals. by @dpreusse

Bethany earned the gold in the weighted throw at the Carl Lewis Invitational meet at the University of Houston, setting the meet record and moving up in rank to #14 in the nation. Keep coming on strong! Let's go. Bethany! by @dpreusse

Thank you to Throws Coach Jon Tipton, Track and Field Director Will Blackburn, and Head Track Coach (and nine-time Olympic gold medalist) Carl Lewis with the University of Houston. We had a great time learning more about your track program this weekend during Bethany's official visit. by @dpreusse

Bethany had her first official recruiting visit; Vanderbilt University and the entire athletic department staff are INCREDIBLE! It was amazing being in Nashville and the Vanderbilt campus is absolutely gorgeous. From academics to athletics, this school really shines. Thank you to Coach Candace Fuller,Track and Field Director Althea Thomas, Vice Chancellor and Athletics Director Dr. Candice Storey Lee, and the ENTIRE coaching staff.
