With the new movie The Odyssey that came out, and how there is precisely zero IMAX 70mm theaters in my town, and how I may not handle something rather intense for 3 hours without a bathroom break, I reckon there’s better stories revolving around Greek mythology. I enjoy movies like these about heroes aspiring to “go the distance”, gods of the underworld acting like used car salesmen (though I find the actor who plays Hades so iffy right now), little two legged goats with big attitudes, muses who sing gospel, women who admit they “won’t say they’re in love” but they secretly are, and even our lead character becoming the Michael Jordan (the GOAT) of Ancient Greece, even getting his own premium footwear, Air Herc, a reference to Air Jordan shoes. Chris Nolan may have his Odyssey, I want to go the distance with this guy, go from zero to hero! I learned 3 years ago that sequence was animated like an MTV music video. by @dpwcreativellc

25 years ago today, this lovely beautiful amazing green face premiered on the big screen. I was at Grandma’s and Mom came in saying to me “Hey, you wanna see Shrek?” I’m like “What’s Shrek?” This was just out of the blue. She showed me a picture of what this was about in the paper, and it was showing at the mall near where everyone in Grandma’s town went and shopped and got food and did a host of other things. So I’m like “Well, okay.” I decide to go see the movie, blind, not having seen any trailers or any knowledge because there was no YouTube or social media back then. It then starts playing, and let me tell you, the minute Shrek burst out of the outhouse to Smash Mouth’s All Star, I knew it was gonna be a good time at the movies. I’m so glad. Shrek is one of my favorites. Some of the kids will be like, “You saw Shrek in 2001, you’re ancient, man!” This movie showed that in animation, a studio that wasn’t Disney or Disney affiliated had such extreme guts to slam dunk everything you know about Disney and make big money doing it. Happy 25th birthday, Shrek! Ogres certain do have special layers of character. by @dpwcreativellc

Kinetic Internet Go Kinetic Home Georgia Now I'm feeling better tonight, cause I want to tell you guys something. After nearly 3 years of waiting, I have finally got fiber at my residence, a rather rural setting a close drive away from a small town up in the North Georgia mountains. The amount of calling, begging, workarounds, hot summer temperatures, maintenance to the house, and a rather rigid conservative culture, has finally paid off. I would like to the thank from the bottom of my heart all the technicians, linemen, electricians, diggers, construction people, lawmakers, grant writers, approval people, and everyone else who made this possible. It feels bittersweet finally having such fast Internet after years of slow copper Internet. I've lost some people close to me along the way. My aunt died in March 2024 of a cancer, and my cousin died of wounds from a burn accident he couldn't fully recover from in December 2025. I've also lost some people who have shaped my childhood, such as James Earl Jones, Britt Allcroft, Catherine O'Hara, Rob Reiner, Val Klmer, and a few others I can't name off the top of my head. I've also had to put up with hot temperatures, social media madness, Marvel and Disney wanting to blow up God in Marvel movies, Hollywood dying, Trump's reelection, anxiety about not getting a job, anxiety about losing a job because of one tiny little mistake, believing I should live out the autism stereotype because no one would give me a job, constant complaints about AI on social media, me feeling like I'm the only person on planet Earth who believes AI can be used for good and never for evil, and finally every single bad thing that the press has called out Trump for, telling us all that there's no hope and that we're all gonna die and that there's no future for any of us because the rich are only getting richer and the poor like me are only getting poorer. For one moment, with fiber internet finally installed, I have managed to make myself richer. Now I want to overcome the rest of the hurdles set before me. Happy #backtothefutureday! 3 years ago I toured Universal Studios and took these pictures of the set that stood in as the town of Hill Valley, CA in the movie. I attempted to take my picture at the clock tower that serves as a central piece to the movie’s thrilling edge of your seat climax. Seeing Hill Valley in person was quite a treat for me.

This year is the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, so it couldn’t be more fitting. To all my partners in time, happy #bttfday! Where we’re going we don’t need roads!
