I’m grateful to share that I am now board-certified—a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. 🦷

This milestone represents years of study, training, and clinical work, culminating in the successful completion of the written examination, oral examination, and documented clinical case review.

Fewer than 30% of endodontists hold this certification, according to figures published by the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) in 2024.

Thank you to my family, mentors, colleagues, and everyone who supported and encouraged me throughout this journey.

Conservative access? Yes. Ninja access? I’m against it.

Preserving tooth structure matters, but an access that limits chamber cleaning can leave pulp tissue and potentially infected remnants behind.

These two cases show how conservative access can still provide enough visibility and room to thoroughly clean the chamber while preserving valuable tooth structure.

My approach: make the access as conservative as possible while allowing proper cleaning, canal identification, and instrumentation. Let the anatomy guide the access—not the goal of making the smallest opening.

تبحث عن الـMB2؟ انتبه لاتجاه الـtroughing 🔍

🟠 السهم البرتقالي + العلامة الخضراء: اتبع المسار المستقيم من الـMB1 الموضّح في الصورة، حتى لو بدا أنه بعيد عن اتجاه الـpalatal canal.

🔴 السهم الأحمر + علامة X: من الأخطاء الشائعة عمل الـtroughing على الخط الواصل بين الـMB1 والـpalatal orifice. في هذه الحالة، هذا الاتجاه يأخذك إلى أرضية الـpulp chamber، وقد يؤدي إلى perforation.

خلّ تشريح الـchamber floor يوجّه بحثك، واعمل الـtroughing بشكل محافظ وبخطوات صغيرة. وتذكّر أن موقع الـMB2 يختلف من سن لآخر. 🦷 by @dr._abdul.e

🦷 A numb lip doesn’t always mean a numb pulp!

An inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) alone may not provide adequate pulpal anesthesia for root canal treatment—especially in mandibular molars with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis.

💉 Adding supplemental buccal infiltration with 4% articaine can improve anesthetic success and help achieve profound pulpal anesthesia.

✅ IANB + supplemental articaine infiltration can make a difference. Always verify anesthesia before starting; some cases still require additional techniques.

💉 طريقة التخدير التي أستخدمها للأسنان السفلية تتضمن ثلاث حقن:

1️⃣ أول حقنة للـInferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) عند الـanatomical landmarks المعتادة.

2️⃣ حقنة ثانية للـIANB في موقع أعلى قليلًا، كما هو موضح في الفيديو.

3️⃣ بعدها أضيف supplemental buccal infiltration بـ4% articaine عند السن المراد علاجه 🦷

إضافة الـarticaine مدعومة بدراسات من Ohio State لتحسين فرصة نجاح الـpulpal anesthesia، خصوصًا عندما لا يكون الـIANB وحده كافيًا.

✅ تنميل الشفة وحده ما يضمن تخدير السن؛ نتأكد من استجابة السن قبل البدء.
