From astrophysics to artificial intelligence 🚀🤖

A few of you have asked what I actually do for work, so here’s a little insight into my career and what I’m working on these days.

Did you always know what you wanted to do for a living, or did your career take an unexpected turn? 👀

After spending almost my entire life in the UK, I decided it was time for a change 🇬🇧✈️🇦🇪
A few of you asked why I moved to Dubai, so here’s the first of my Q&As!
Have you ever thought about moving abroad? And if so, where would you go? 🌍

First mini vlog 🇦🇪🎥
A little glimpse into life since moving to Dubai.
This weekend I took the new @etihad_rail passenger train to Abu Dhabi, explored the city and got ready for a busy week ahead.
Trying something a little different from my usual posts — should I make more of these? #etihadrail #dubai #dubailife #abudhabi #minivlog taken in Dubai by @dr.imran.nasim

Another year older…time flies

Somehow it’s been almost three years since I last properly posted on here.

I spent most of that time with my head down - developing myself, building my career and trying to create the kind of freedom I always wanted. I’ve been fortunate enough to achieve a lot along the way, but being able to retire my parents is probably the thing I’m most proud of.

I always thought reaching some of those goals would make life easier. Turns out life is much more complicated now than it was three years ago 😂

A lot has changed since then. New experiences, new perspectives, apparently a beard now, and most recently a new home in Dubai 🇦🇪

Feels like a good time to start sharing some of the journey again.

Good to be back. Let’s see what this next year brings taken in Dubai by @dr.imran.nasim

Well that is another lap around the sun!
This last year was a busy one, just recently I became a BAFTA & NTA award winner with #thetraitors family….which is crazy to even say. I also went to #japan which was a life long goal…and it did not disappoint!

That being said, my main focus has been on progression and self development. In my experience, often times you will not feel like accomplishing your goals due to a number of excuses you tell yourself…my advice is keep your head down and push through. If you are feeling down or stressed, physical exertion is a key remedy - remember life is not meant to be easy.
Don’t be happy…but be proud of what you achieve #proudbutneversatisfied

Bigger and better things to come this year!

p.s. yes I forgot to move the coffee cup for the photo 😂

Breathe in and focus!
Sometimes you need to reset and gather yourself before you can push on, don’t be afraid to take a moment to reflect on what you are actually doing. In my experience detaching from my phone really helps and brings a level of clarity to capture the bigger picture of my goals.
One of the highlights of my year so far was my trip to #japan not only as it was an incredible place to visit but it also gave my a chance to reflect and connect with a new culture
(this photo is actually me having a coffee at the top of a mountain in #kobejapan)

In other news I recently got my IG verified #bluetick #verified - so let’s enjoy the coffee and the moment…and get back to work! #winning #mindset

Hard work and dedication!
I am proud to say that I am officially a Visiting Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Mathematics at the University of Surrey!

One major thing in life that has kept me ahead is progression - you need to have the desire to get better!
It is not where you start but the mindset you have that is important🥇
I get many questions on how I have been able to achieve what I have at a record age (and yes for those wondering, I am the youngest Visiting Assistant Professor in the World #worldrecord)
The answer is pretty simple - have strong fundamentals!

Would you all be interested to hear more about productivity, motivation, study, planning and time management methods?
If so, what format would you like it in?

Pinch me!
What a trip….first time in Japan and South Korea and I was blown away!!
Incredibly fortunate to be able to go on such a holiday 🙏 - can’t wait to be back!

Also on the trip I found out that the #traitors had won two #royaltelevisionsociety awards and that we were nominated for two #bafta awards (which made the trip even better!)- well done all!
Happy Easter!
