📢 Special announcement ✨ !!! I’m so excited to report that I will be playing Kendra Ellis-Connor in @twilighttheatercompany ‘s production of American Son.
I am so honored to portray this role and pray to God that I can capture the essence of Kendra on stage 🙏🏽! This story is emotional and raw. I will be portraying a mother trying to find her son.
Fun fact: @kerrywashington movingly portrayed this role on Broadway and it was later turned into a Netflix movie.
If you are in Portland come check it out! Runs January 23- February 9

Made my first voice over reel! Went on a bike tour of food cart pods in Portland, Oregon for my birthday. Portland has completely surprised me on how much good food is here. People be sleeping on Portland! I’ve been enjoying exploring the city and seeing all it has to offer! Also, it’s a super bike friendly here, so I need to get a bike ASAP 🚲

Thursday, November 9th is the BIG DAY! Come one! Come all! It’s been such a blessing to be able to understudy the role of Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill! It’s a role that was so outside my comfort zone, but with the grace of God and a great team (s/o @cmbragg)I feel ready and confident!!
I’m so grateful that I get a guaranteed date of November 9th and I would love to see you there!
There are some great discounts if you are under 40, a student, or in the industry(artcard).
Thank you @phxtheatre for this opportunity!
See you there! by @dr.jari

Belated birthday post!! Wow what a year🙌🏽. This year was all about community!! I have met so many amazing people this year who have become new friends and I’ve been able to deepen the relationships with my day ones! It takes a village to raise an adult😅. Thank you for your support 🥹
I’ve learned that the only way to grow is to push yourself outside your comfort zone and be vulnerable. Once you drop the ego and open yourself up, you are able to make real connections to those around you.

SPOTLIGHT (Theatre Review): Today we shine a spotlight on Childsplay’s joyful production of THE HULA-HOOPIN’ QUEEN playing now at the Herberger Theatre. Childsplay is a Nationally acclaimed, professional theatre for young audiences, reaching thousands of children, teachers and families each year. The Hula-hoopin’ queen by Thelma Lynne Godin, Adapted by Gloria Bond Clunie is a beaming example of childsplay’s high quality, inspirational programming. Set in Harlem, this intergenerational story shows the importance of staying young at heart. The cast is stellar with high energy per
formances, and lovable characters. Lively, sharp staging by Arizona’s most in demand director, Chanel Bragg. Dr. Jari and I attended a student matinee and the energy was electric. A knockout on every level, the kids were blown away. For many, this is the first show they’ve ever seen. Varied Representation of stories on stage is critical for theatre to remain relevant in our community And it was thrilling to see an entire cast of local, diverse actresses commanding the stage. Childsplay continues to lead the way in creating positive change in Arizona theatre and setting a bright example for the next generation. @childsplayaz @cmbragg
