☀️ by @dr.jihansha

Completed training on the Balance Tutor system - a very interesting simulator for improving proprioception (deep joint-muscle sense) in the rehabilitation of knee injuries, fractures, polyneuropathies, Parkinson's, strokes, etc. Simplified, this is a treadmill on a platform that can be jerked forward, backward, LEFT AND RIGHT (!) 5-10 cm, forcing the patient / athlete to "catch" his center of gravity. A more complex version of treatment / training - with closed eyes, standing in one line, standing on one leg. The point is that the doctor creates an unforeseen "obstacle" for the patient during slow walking, which activates proprioceptors not from top to bottom, but from bottom to top, optimizing postural and dynamic motor stereotypes. Athletes will remotely find similarities with exercises on a tire or a half-deflated ball. I shared an idea that the device can be used in children with speech disorders (with a violation of the proprioception of the tongue muscles). The manufacturer was interested, but we need an interested pediatrician/child neurologist and funding. #balancetutor by @dr.jihansha
