One of the most common compliments I get is about my skin, followed by the question, “What makeup are you wearing?”

The answer? Most days, absolutely none.

But here’s the thing. Makeup-free skin doesn’t necessarily mean maintenance-free skin.

Before heading off on holiday, I was very intentional about how I prepared my skin (and myself!) so that I could spend less time in front of a mirror and more time making memories.

My pre-holiday line-up?

💦 babyGLOW™ by Teoxane at @thesecretglasgow for skin hydration, quality and that fresh-faced glow. I also added an extra 3ml superficially for that extra bang!

💉 neurotoxin to soften expression lines while keeping my face looking like ME and reduce sweating too.

🧠 EXOMIND because feeling good matters just as much as looking good. My mental wellbeing deserved a place on the holiday prep list too and it takes me 2-3 days to unwind usually which is half the holiday 🫠

☀️ Paused my retinol to simplify my routine ahead of days in the sunshine, with SPF 50 remaining my absolute non-negotiable.

✨ EMfusion for that final skin-conditioning boost before takeoff (did you know this is also pregnancy and breast feeding safe?)

Now, here’s what I really want you to take away from this…

Great skin isn’t about doing EVERYTHING. It’s about knowing WHAT to do, WHEN to do it and, sometimes, what NOT to do.

This is a reminder to include your treatments at The Secret along with the mani, pedi, spray tan and waxing! Holiday prep is no joke 😅

I can’t always be pretending to be a blogger. Some of us need to be holding it down in the kids club. Showing them how to colour within the lines and stuff….dripping in Fragrance Du Bois 🧿🥹🙌.

Yes, I travel with these in my handbag because I’ve turned into Samantha Jones and would rather lose my clothes than my medical skincare.

Want to find what’s best for you and your skin? Book your skin consultation with our resident skin expert @shansskinsecrets at @thesecretglasgow and let’s get you glowy AF for hot girl summer boo 💦✨👌

The two piece that has everyone in my DMs is my favourite fit yettttt from Wona Concept exclusively at Opus Couture. And the best part? It’s basically free.

Girl math wise, I mean.

Hear me out. You wear it to your hen with the short skirt, to rehearsal dinner with the long skirt or paired with silk trousers. With jeans for date nights, a jumper for honeymoon, again for your anniversary and again and again and again. In the essence of sustainability and ensure we get the MOST bang for our buck, this is the ultimate purchase.

You have until the end of the month before I buy it and it’s gone forever 😂 kiddddiiiingggg! The team at Opus can custom order this for you specifically to enjoy in your bridal era (and forever).

You’re welcome.
