5 YEARS OF 5IVE. HALF A DECADE OF CULTURE. 🤎✨

Looking back at these past 5 years of curating events, my heart is completely full. I am so incredibly grateful for this journey, the growth, and every single soul that has breathed life into this vision. 💐

To everyone who has ever bought a ticket and walked through our doors, taught a class, walked in a fashion show, or left their soul on stage during a showcase—thank you. To the hands that helped me set up, the ones that stayed late to help break down, and the circle that helped me navigate the heavy moments when I didn’t know how to keep going— YOU are the reason 5ive is alive today.

I deeply, truly love what I do. Every late night, every stressful deadline, every moment of pure magic on stage—it is all worth it. I love every single person I have met on this journey so far, and I can’t wait for all the beautiful souls I have yet to meet. 🫶🏾

This is just the foundation. I can’t wait until this dream becomes even more physical, tangible, and monumental. 😤🖐🏾

Praying for another 5 years of community, frequency, and elevation. We are just getting started. 🙏🏽🔥

I cannot thank you guys enough for making my 5th year curating this event so spectacular! 🥹🫶🏾

This past Saturday, I curated my fifth and annual Black History Month showcase “ feel the frequency “ with my conglomerate @wearre5ive where we provided a platform for 20+ upcoming artists & each of them really put on a hell of a performance! 💐

As a curator there’s often bumps in the road that will sometimes discourage you but when you meet amazing people they help you put a battery in your back not to mention a voice your head to tell you to keep going! 💃🏾📈

I’m grateful for the community that I have, the people I’ve come across, and to the rest that I have yet to meet. I think everyone wholeheartedly from the bottom of my heart for making me believe that I can continue to do this and I’m deeply supported. 💛

Until the next event, I hope you guys are still rocking with me as I am here for YOU! 🖐🏾

Special things to the people that really helpful this event together as overwhelmed as I was lol:

@prince_inspiration_ / @okayprince__
For being an amazing cohost, DJ, and Artist I don’t know how the event would have been if you did not help me stay grounded throughout the entire process 🫂💛

@thrills.mov - for really setting the tone the beginning of the show, making sure everybody was dancing and mingling and with setting up the event 🪩✨

@_lunabewriting_ - for keeping me levelheaded throughout the entire event and helping me behind the bar and setting up the studio again 😭💪🏾

@starstruck.nyc - thank you for allowing me to have my event here. It wouldn’t have been such a big success without you guys. I really am grateful. 🥹🫶🏾

@_certifiedshots_ , @theeyeofprince_ & @thrills.mov for capturing this event 📸🫶🏾🫶🏾

And thank you EVERYONE that came, bought a ticket, and stay to the very end of the show! I am still in awe from the moment and I can’t wait for the next event. 🖐🏾🫶🏾 by @dr.melanin
