I can’t tell you how many times I introduce myself as Dr. Williams and people still call me what they prefer. I would have a whole conversation and hear towards the middle of the visit, “You’re the doctor??”
Is this on purpose? Bias? Brain protecting itself from rewiring and dismantling stereotypes?! Hmmmm…

This goes for everything:

Being nice to those who aren’t nice to us
Learning a new skill
Becoming an entrepreneur
Going to school
Sowing seeds and waiting for the harvest
Trying to do a split for 6 months and still aint got it 👀
Eating healthy and gain weight still

Theres still a point to trying: Dedication, commitment to doing the right thing will yield results. Keep going and stick with it.

Symptom relief may be the plan for now. But it doesn’t mean the doctors did nothing for you if they don’t know what’s wrong.

You’re tired of being sick. You want answers. You need closure. You need a solid plan to work towards healing.

Stay home. Wash your hands. Avoid the ER unless its a true emergency.
Use humidifier and warm compress. Drink whatever natural remedy you can stomach lol
Sit down and relax.

Still don’t exercise with a membership…

No judgement… I kept making excuses until I was honest. “I have the time. I just don’t want to”
Then the Lord brought up a goal of mine: to do a split. My home exercises and stretching routine started from trying to a split.
Now, I MAKE the time and exercise at home! So can you!
You only got 10min a day… then commit to 10min.

Eventually, you’re going to grow and adjust your schedule.

“I don’t have a primary care doctor- I go to the urgent care”

This plan does not serve anyone in the long-term.

Primary care isn’t about seeing the doctor only when you have a condition or symptoms. It’s about prevention, proactive care, & health optimization which can’t be done at an urgent care. Cause you know what the Doctor says? “Go follow up with your primary care doctor.”
