90 years of life, love, and legacy.

On October 9, our family and community will come together to celebrate my Granddaddy, Reverend Rudolph C. Allen, Sr., on his 90th birthday.

It will be an evening to honor his extraordinary legacy, recognize his lasting impact, and celebrate the launch of the Rudolph Allen Foundation.

90 years of life, love, and legacy.

When I talk about my Granddaddy, there is so much that could be said about his life and the impact he has had on others. His ministry, his work in the Civil Rights Movement, his service to the community, and the history he helped shape are all important parts of his story.
But those things are only part of who he is to his family.
He is also the man I know as Granddaddy. The storyteller. The golfer. The one with a story for just about everything. The father, grandfather, and family man who has given us a lifetime of memories, lessons, laughter, and love.
Granddaddy became a leader in the Civil Rights Movement here in Columbus and participated in efforts to integrate buses, desegregate downtown businesses, and protest the Columbus Police Department. He has lived through history that many of us only learn about in books.
What makes that history even more meaningful to me is that I get to hear some of it directly from him. I get to sit with him, hear his stories, ask questions, laugh, learn, and sometimes hear the same story more than once. 😂
His story is bigger than the accomplishments. It is also the memories, lessons, conversations, relationships, and experiences that continue to shape our family and our community.

The Rudolph Allen Foundation was established to continue that commitment through education, leadership, service, and community impact.

FAMU Homecoming 2025!!! Doing this with my family was amazing. 20 years since I first stepped foot on this amazing campus, and it was the best decision I made in my life. Being here with my biggest supporters was EVERYTHING!!! A GREAT TIME WAS HAD THIS WEEKEND!
