Andrea Burns (she/her) I grew up in NYC and started dancing here as a kid, doing both hip hop and ballet. I continued in street styles through years of summer camp and continued with it as an adult! In rehearsal I am… sleepy but joyful Favorite artist to dance to… lately been digging fred again and tame impala! Photo @khorlav42 by @dr3burns

Got to boogie with one of my favorite teachers @b0seff for the last four weeks 🥹✨ I’m finally starting to let go of perfectionism and starting to focus on being present so that I can 1. HAVE FUN and 2. actually grow as a dancer. A huuuuge thank you to Bo and everyone in this workshop for creating a safe environment to take risks and for such thoughtful feedback during this process ❤️ 🧠 @b0seff 🎥 @ma.dulas taken in Modega by @dr3burns

Andrea Burns (she/her) joined DCL in Season 2 and grew up dancing in NYC. While she has dabbled in ballet and modern, her passion has always been street dance. Andrea’s background is in hip hop and choreography, often taking house, street jazz, and afrobeats classes. She also loves to choregraph and founded and led the first hip hop dance crew at Tulane University. DCL is her first performance community since college and she’s grateful for this space to grow!
