"So that they should set their hope in God"
POSTS STORIES REELS
Tuesdays at Bread of Life are our tutoring days. Sometimes, the children come with their homework notebooks and we help them do their homework for the week. Other times, we plan an educational activity. Today was “reading buddies” and the big kids each paired up with a little kid and read them stories 🥰 by @dr_missions
We had the best first day back in classes with Solid Ground Academy. With 130 students enrolled this year, our hearts surely grew as we saw all the potential for this year! We have so many precious students. They played, laughed, learned, shared, snacked, and so much more. Seeing the parents drop their children off, excited about the opportunity, was such a special part of the day. Please pray over all of our teachers and staff during this first week of adjustment. by @dr_missions
Quinceañera night is such a beautiful celebration of the young ladies who have grown up in the ministry. We had so much fun celebrating Sarai, Djesi, and Asarela tonight. They have grown into the most beautiful, intelligent, servant-hearted and fun young ladies. by @dr_missions
Kids Retreat 2026 was one to remember! We took 40 kids from Bread of Life to a campground for the day to swim, play, and learn more about Creation and how to see God in all of it. The obstacle course was a hit along with the little boats. We are so thankful to be able to plan experiences like this that allow the children to step outside their comfort zones, experience something new, and learn more about Jesus along the way. ☀️🌸 by @dr_missions
That’s a wrap! We made it to the end of year two with Solid Ground Christian Preschool. What a blessing it was to train up these little ones in the way they should go! by @dr_missions
In case you need another reason to intern with DR Missions, our bonding day at the start of each intern session is too good to miss! Imagine spending the day with all the other interns, getting to know each other while enjoying God’s beautiful creation in the Dominican Republic ☀️ what a day! We’re thankful for this group of interns who jumped into the ministry side of interning as quick as they jumped off that waterfall 😊 it’s going to be a great month! by @dr_missions
Our June interns are here and ready to serve! We are so excited to spend the next three weeks training and equipping this group of youth/young adults and to see them get to serve and be a part of what God is doing in San Cristóbal. Please be praying for them, and for the rest of our teams and interns that are coming in this season. by @dr_missions
Mother’s Day in the Dominican Republic is tomorrow, but we have already started celebrating the amazing moms in Empowered Families Pregnancy Center. We have over 70 mothers enrolled in the program and have between 30-50 who participate twice weekly. These mothers are all in the early stage of motherhood- pregnancy through toddlers. We had the opportunity today to pour into them spiritually, celebrate them, laugh through some games, and of course, drink coffee together. Building community fellowship is the heart of Empowered Families 🥰 by @dr_missions
Empowered Families Pregnancy Center is feeling more squished by the week, but look at our new space and how it continues to progress 🥰 The roof is drying for the next 10 days and then the walls will be smoothed and the ceramic tile laid. We can’t wait to minister to the moms in this new space. by @dr_missions
It’s not a race… except when it is is a race. 😂 The babies at Empowered Families Clinic had their own Olympics today after learning about the stages of movement for our little ones. Congratulations to baby Yeiden for earning that pack of diapers! by @dr_missions
Driving in the DR is a whole new experience for our team members 😂 When on a mission trip with DR Missions, you get a front seat view into this wonderful and crazy culture. Thanks to our team member Jon Jon for keeping us laughing this morning. by @dr_missions
It is so much fun to have visitors serving at Solid Ground Christian Preschool. We welcomed a group from CIY through our home church, El Círculo, to serve with us for a day this week. by @dr_missions
