If those first few steps out of bed feel like stepping on a Lego, listen up! 😩

When you have plantar fasciitis, the tissue along the bottom of your foot can be irritated, and walking barefoot on hard floors may aggravate your symptoms.

Here are 3 things I want you to try:

👟 1. Keep supportive shoes by your bed. Put them on before taking those first steps in the morning.

🦶 2. Don’t ignore the pain. Gentle, appropriate stretching may help, but persistent heel pain deserves an evaluation to identify the cause.

🔬 3. Know your treatment options. From conservative care to regenerative medicine, there are different approaches depending on your diagnosis and symptoms.

As a board-certified podiatrist, I’ve treated thousands of patients with heel pain, including athletes and military personnel. You don’t have to accept foot pain as a normal part of getting older!

If I could tell you ONE thing about toenail fungus as a regenerative medicine podiatrist, it’s this:

👉 Don’t just cover it up—figure out why it’s there.

Toenail fungus isn’t simply a cosmetic problem. The nail has to be treated, but we also want to consider the health of the skin, circulation, immune response, and the environment your feet are living in.

And no, painting over that thick, yellow nail every few weeks isn’t a treatment. 😏

Regenerative medicine is about looking at the whole picture and supporting your body’s ability to heal, not just treating the symptom and calling it a day.

Meet Fizzgig! 🐾

Huge thank you to @pamperedpawznola for his groom. He looks so much better. He probably feels a lot better too! As you can see, he is still very skinny and underweight. He will have surgery on October 5th for his neuter and to remove his cherry eye.
