🇩🇰 DSU in Denmark!
What an incredible week of learning, culture, and global business! Dr. Kimeu Boynton and I traveled with 10 Delaware State University students to Tradium Business College in Randers, Denmark. From classroom sessions to visits with Danish Crown, MSC, and EY, our students experienced international business firsthand while immersing themselves in Danish culture.
A huge thank you to Tradium, Henrik Vestergaard, the Tradium host families, and Mayor Rosa Lykke Yde for their incredible hospitality. Thank you as well to Dean Casson, Dr. Kwak, and Dr. Liu for supporting this opportunity.
Most importantly, I’m extremely proud of our students for representing themselves, their families, and DSU with professionalism and pride!
Education beyond the classroom.

Today is my birthday! Although no birthday party this year, we have had some epic celebrations together. Two parties stand out to me, 2015 at LOVE on Long Island and 2017 celebrating my 50th on the FARM. #IYKYK If you have celebrated with me for my birthday over the years, drop a pic, video, or story. We will run in back in 2027! by @dr_robinson103

Yesterday was bigger than a degree.
Although I defended my dissertation in September 2025, it was important for me to walk across the stage at this year’s commencement, not just for me but for my children, family, and friends who have supported me throughout this entire journey.
I wanted my kids to see the journey come full circle with their own eyes. To witness the long nights, sacrifices, setbacks, prayers, and perseverance culminate in a moment they could see and feel. Words can inspire, but visuals can leave a lasting impact.
To my family and friends, thank you for always showing up, supporting me, encouraging me, and believing in me, even when I was exhausted and overwhelmed. I truly could not have done this without you.
I hope yesterday showed my children that anything is possible when you stay committed, trust the process, and put your mind to it.
That walk across the stage was for all of us. ❤️🎓

Yesterday, Delaware State University proudly hosted the 4th Annual Black Male Initiative (BMI) Conference, and the impact was powerful.
As the Director of BMI, I have the privilege of watching our young men in the College of Business grow into leaders, gain confidence, find their voices, and step into their purpose. This year’s theme, The Mask. The Mindset. The Mission challenged students to embrace authenticity, build resilience, and pursue intentional goals for their futures. More than 500 young Black men joined us, including DSU students and participants from schools across Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Together, we created a space focused on mentorship, leadership, academic excellence, and purpose.
Thank you to our speakers, panelists, sponsors, educators, and chaperones who continue to invest in the next generation of leaders. Most importantly, thank you to the students who showed up ready to learn, grow, and lead.
The mission continues.

Being Chosen to Host the 2026 Black Male Initiative Conference is an Honor I’m Grateful for. 🙌🏾

Presented by DSU’s College of Business, this platform allows me to do what matters most—add value, inspire growth, and help future leaders unmask their truth and unlock their potential. 🖤🎓✊🏽

Special thanks to BMI Director, Professor Wade Robinson, for the trust and leadership.

The 2025 Black Male Initiative (BMI) Conference was an unforgettable experience filled with empowerment, leadership, and community! A huge thank you to our keynote speaker, DSU alum Jonte Simmons, for delivering an inspiring and impactful message.

We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to our wonderful sponsors, ELC, Capital One, WSFS Bank, Travelers, Morgan Stanley, and The Parker Family, for their generous support that made this event possible.

A special shoutout to the hardworking BMI Team—Yah Williams, Kinya Robinson, Aleasha Dorsett, Ken Briscoe, Charles Fowler, RadioShach and many dedicated DSU student volunteers for their tireless efforts in bringing this vision to life. Your commitment and enthusiasm have made this conference a tremendous success!

I am also immensely proud of our BMI Fellows for facilitating, being actively engaged in every session, and leading by example, all while looking sharp! 👏🏾🔥 Your commitment to excellence and leadership is genuinely inspiring!

Lastly, to the more than 50 Black male leaders who dedicated their time to support our future leaders, your impact is immeasurable. You are more appreciated than you realize. Thank you for your wisdom, guidance, and commitment to uplifting the next generation! 🙌🏾💡

Let’s keep building, empowering, and leading together. #BMI2025 #Leadership #Empowerment #Success #DSUAlum #ThankYouSponsors #BMIConference #BlackExcellence taken in Delaware State University by @dr_robinson103
