AN HONOUR BEYOND WORDS ✨

Serving ARD-LUTH has been one of my life's most fulfilling journeys. From leading initiatives like FITMED, spearheading the ARD-LUTH website revamp and building a template for the first-ever e-voting system in ARD-LUTH, to renovating our Secretariat and the recently concluded 15-DAY Skipping Challenge — every step has been fueled by purpose and passion to enhance the welfare and well-being of my colleagues amidst the many challenges we face.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with and under some of the most dedicated and visionary minds — Drs. Jimoh Hassan,Dotun Adesiyakan, Kemi Abiloye, and Samuel Okerinde among others: your leadership and continuous guidance shaped my path and impact.

I treasure the support, trust and belief in me, this has challenged me to do more — thank you. It's never about titles; it is always about service.

Let’s keep building, keep thriving, and keep the ARD-LUTH spirit alive.

It’s been about six months into this new chapter - or perhaps more appropriately put, a new defining course in my life’s journey - and I found myself deep in reflection.

I sat down and began to write the names of every person God sent my way; those who played truly significant roles in helping me get to where I am today (trust me, I keep the records of good). My intention was to appreciate each person one by one in separate posts, honouring how they came through for me, even in moments and in ways they may never have realized. I have learned long ago, from experience, that this is a dangerous task… because no matter how hard one tries, someone precious may be unintentionally left out.

Still, I attempted it. I started making the list… only including those whose impact I felt in profound and undeniable ways. I stopped when I crossed 30+ names - and that alone left me overwhelmed.

At that moment, one truth rang loudly in my heart: I am a product of God and of good people.

To try naming everyone would risk one or both of two grave errors - either omitting someone who deserves honour, or underexpressing the depth of gratitude I carry for the role you played in this journey.

Local man is genuinely and deeply grateful . And even if settling into this new reality may not have permitted me to keep in touch as often as I would have loved, know this one thing: in my heart, I pray for you. That God will come through for you - in times, places, and ways that you least expect Him to.

Ẹ ṣé gan ni. From the deepest parts of my heart - THANK YOU.

I celebrate not just another birthday, but the Diamond Jubilee of my Dad, Mr. M. A. Shittu 60 amazing years of exemplary living and God’s faithfulness. Daddy, your journey has been one of sacrifice, love, and unwavering dedication to your family and to the progress of everyone around you. You’ve shown us what it means to live with integrity, to put others first, and to serve God in sincerity.

I am who I am today because of your guidance, your prayers, and your countless sacrifices.

In this new phase of life, I pray that God continues to bless you with many more years in sound health, peace, and prosperity. May your days be filled with joy, laughter, and happiness beyond human comprehension. And may we, your children and grandchildren, continue to make you proud.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

As if we didn’t already have enough natural causes of death - from diseases, accidents, natural disasters etc, we're now having to live with the horror of a human being DELIBERATELY taking the life of a fellow human.

I’m traumatized beyond words.
How does anyone willfully take a life they do not have the power to create or give?

💔 I watched videos of the aftermath of the recent Benue killings by terrorists. One word keeps ringing in my mind: WHY?

Why this cruelty?
Why this endless bloodshed?
.
.
.
A million other Whys to be honest. 💔

I sincerely pray that God comforts the families of the victims and grants rest to the souls of the departed, maybe more appropriately the people we failed as a nation.

Calling Nigeria a "FAILED STATE" doesn’t even begin to describe our present reality. And I say this about EVERY ONE OF US for the role (active or passive) we’ve played in letting things get this bad.

Even if my voice won’t echo through the halls of power, I still raise it to call on all stakeholders.

⚠️The Government of Nigeria (all arms and tiers)
⚠️ The Military and all security agencies
⚠️ The Media
⚠️ Every Nigerian with a conscience

LET US BY EVERY MEANS POSSIBLE put an end to these senseless and disgraceful killings!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
