Been working on this drawing of Zero for years now in my free time. It started as a piece to accompany the Megaman drawing I did, but now at the end the two are so different. It’s really interesting how my style and taste has changed over the years. #megaman #capcom #westernavearts by @draftstudios

Daniel is already an established professional architect. Photography, is just something he does because he loves it. That makes his website less about selling a product or turning photography into a business and more about giving years of serious creative work the presentation it deserves.

He's got thousands of pictures to sort though so this is going to be updated regularly.

Tracy Flynn of Pottering Around Studios has a pretty clear idea of where she eventually wanted her business to go. She currently uses platforms like Etsy to sell her work and Eventbrite for events and classes, but ultimately she wants more of that to happen through her own website.

The challenge is that Pottering Around Studios is still a small, growing business. Building an online store, scheduling system, and a class calendar all at once would be a significant investment. So we approached her website in phases. Right now, she has a strong foundation that introduces her and her work, explains her classes and gives Pottering Around Studios a professional home online.

She'll continue to use Etsy and Eventbrite for now and we’ll soon add those features when the time is right. Tracy’s website can now grow at the same pace she does, and that was really the point of the entire project.

When we first started talking about rebuilding Anne-Marie's website, the problems seemed fairly straightforward. Some of the images were blurry, older work was still being featured, newer work was missing, and overall she just wasn't very proud of the website.

Then I sat down with Anne-Marie and learned so much about her background and her work.

Her old website gave you plenty of opportunities to see the work, but very few opportunities to understand the person who made it. Some of that story existed in interviews and articles, but visitors had to leave her website to find it.

The new website puts Anne-Marie front and center. You get to know something about her before being asked to understand the work. Her interviews, experiences and words become part of the website, while the artwork itself creates these incredible backdrops for telling that story.

The result feels much more like Anne-Marie and that's ultimately what I want an artist's website to do. Check out her new site at

There are artists who fit neatly into categories, and then there are artists like Dave Ruckle.

Dave is constantly experimenting on new ways to express his ideas. He's always trying new mediums and finding the most interesting parts to use. As he continues to learn, his art form evolves.

That made designing his portfolio really fun for us.

Rather than forcing everything into a standard gallery of his work, we really wanted to explain his thinking and process behind what it means to be an artist for him.

Most importantly, we wanted visiting the website to feel a little like meeting Dave and walking through his studio. Seeing what he makes, what he's up to, and discovering the unexpected connections between the work.

Dave’s new website is now live. Check it out at www.daveruckleart.com

I love doing these little projects with my community. It's an easy way to participate in something fun for the city and really, why not? If everyone took a minute to give back then we can all grow and learn together. You don't need to be extraordinary to build a strong community, you just need to give a damn and help where you can.

Also, this makes me a published artist now lol
