POSTS STORIES REELS

A lil late to the trend, in typical me fashion.

The book portion of this was the hardest for me because what do you mean I only can pick 5?? So I choose mainly series 😌 honorable mentions would be the Welcome to Fae Cafe series by Jennifer Kropf & the Huntress series by Carrie Cotten.

The music portion was also difficult because ya girl just doesn’t really listen to music anymore. In high school and college I listened to a mix of heavy metal/folk and now it’s mainly instrumentals because I just can’t handle too many words in my songs as a mom. I’m already being spoken to constantly 🤣

Movies and shows was fun, even though I really don’t watch much. We only have DVDs at our house. I now realize I could’ve put Howl’s Moving Castle because my husband & I do love Studio ghibli films.

Do we have anything in common? I’d love to know ☺️ by @dragonsatdawn

Project Amberlin introduction 🐉

Sometimes I think I talk too much about my WIP. Then I realize I haven’t shared that much and people may have no idea what the story is even about lol.

So here is a collection of lots of random things about my story! What Amberlin even means, my two MCs, tropes you’ll find in the story/what you WON’T find, etc etc!

Everything is subject to change, but I love sharing and hearing people’s thoughts!

I apologize for any typos or things worded weirdly. We don’t have WiFi so doing everything on my phone can be daunting lol.

Thank you all for your constant support of my story! I love working on this book so much 🥹🐉📚

God bless you all!

Sharing something special today 🩷

When my husband proposed to me in 2021, he pulled out a ring and said “I made you something”, and I was way too excited to consider what he meant. It wasn’t until after I calmed down that he explained to me he had spent the last 9 months teaching himself how to make jewelry so he could make me a ring. Needless to say I cried when he told me that haha.
So now I have a beautiful engagement ring and wedding band both made by my sweet husband, and they mean so much to me.

If you’re an author, you should totally have your MC hand make an engagement ring for their loved one, it’d make for such a cute book idea 😭🥹

He also has a YouTube video of him making it if anyone wishes to see that ✨

Thank you for watching or reading this ☺️ by @dragonsatdawn

The Lost Visionist by Ronie Kendig 💫

Talk about a wild ride.

I read this book back in August and it still blows my mind when I think about it. The world building is phenomenal; the story is captivating; the split between the past and the present is so interesting to read. The
ENDING will leave you gasping.

I can’t wait for book 2 to see where the story goes. This was my first Ronie Kendig book and I can definitely see myself diving into her others because she is so talented.

Also, can we talk about how gorgeous the book is?? I should’ve captured the rest of the art I got from the kickstarter. She’s worked with so many talented artists to bring the story to life, just go check out her page to see them! I also kind of want to buy the wide release paperback because it has INCREDIBLE art from @thestardazedtrail (please go to her account to check them out)

Anywho, if you’re in the mood for a complex (but easy to follow, in my opinion) space fantasy book with a beautiful romance subplot, crazy twists and turns, and insane worlds, then this is the book for you 😌✨

Of Might and Mettle by Michelle Emmanuelli 🩰

So I did receive an ARC for this, so I’m a bit late to the party. But better late than never 😌 and the book has since been released so what better time to pick it up then NOW?? @faith.over.fantasy

I loooovvveeedd this story. It was short & sweet so you could easily finish it in a day (I nearly did). It’s fast paced, so so so charming, and just overall a beautiful story with Christian themes and such enjoyable characters.

Because I preordered I did receive character art which I never got around to posting because someone in my family immediately spilled water on them lol. BUT with a lil magic in Lightroom I’m hoping you can’t tell 😂 because how beautiful are those drawings??

This story has it all:
- disability rep
- Fury sidekicks
- The ultimate sunshine vs. grumpy two main characters (which makes for the cutest romance subplot btw)
- Faith themes
- Tropical settings 🌴

So I’d 10/10 recommend this standalone if you’re in the mood for something fun and easy but SO enjoyable 💛

I also got this book through @littleleafbooksellers and it was SUCH a fun experience!! I love her shop so much so also go check her out!

My one year bookstagram anniversary 🥹

…was actually October 21 but better late than never hehe

I won’t rehash everything I said, but just know I’m very thankful for the community I’ve built on here and I can’t wait to see what comes of the next year on here 💛 I’m just a stay at home mom who loves photography and books so it’s been a blessing to bring those two hobbies together.

God bless you all! by @dragonsatdawn

He hated dragons, she loved them, what more can I say? 😌

Haha this was so fun to put together. Never thought I’d have the words “sk8ter boi” on my page 🤣 🐉

The two main characters from my WIP, Project Amberlin. Kadrian Naison, the brutal Dragonslayer. Amelia Faramond, the timid dragonologist.

Draft 3 is currently with beta readers & I’ve been loving all the feedback I’m receiving! I can’t wait to dive into draft 4 and then finally reach a point I feel confident enough to hire an editor 💛 maybe my dreams of publishing 2027 aren’t too unrealistic 🥹

Healing Eleanor by Alexis Lenae 🩰

I received an ARC for this a while ago but am just now getting around to telling you all about it!

I’d been wanting to read a ballerina story so this just ticked all my boxes! I REALLY loved this book. It deals with very hard hitting topics (see comment section for more) and Alexis did an incredible job bringing attention to them in a tasteful manor. It was a beautiful story of redemption, growth, and faith.

One of our main characters, Eleanor, is not a Christian at the beginning of the story. Watching her grow to know God was breathtaking and made me so emotional. The faith aspects without the story were incredible.

I loved our MMC, the ballet coach, Nikolai!! Oh my WORD I adored that man 😭 he was so kind and patient with Eleanor but also didn’t sit around and treat her like a damsel in distress which I loved. He genuinely wanted to help her but most of all, wanted her to want to help herself. Their relationship was beautiful to watch unfold, I was obsessed & would love five more books with them please and thank you.

Powerful was the best word to describe this book. Between the grief Nikolai is dealing with and the struggles of Eleanor, getting to read how God’s light shines through their individual stories was so well done and captivating.

If you love contemporary romances, especially with forbidden love and faith themes, I think you’d adore this one, because I really did 🥹

Made Like the Moon by Carrie Cotten 🌖

Who would’ve thought our favorite Christian medieval romance author would also come out and write a MAFIA romance?? With comedic bits thrown in?

Carrie has done it again. I had the pleasure of reading the arcs of MLtM & the sequel, TRtS, and may I just say, they’re incredible. The faith, the romance, the excitement - you will not want to put these books down.

Carrie is one of the funniest people I know (not that I really know her lol but a girl can dream 😌). I’m thankful to be in her groupchat/hype squad here on Instagram annnddddd she’s constantly making me laugh. I adore that woman 🤭

Anywho, I love me a good mafia romance, but they’re SO HARD TO FIND that don’t glorify sin/gore/death. And make it no spice, it’s almost impossible to find. So this duology is perfect.

Our two main characters & their journey is so fulfilling to read. Especially Rafe, the hitman mafia enforcer who quickly falls under Grace’s goofy sweet spell 😌oh gosh I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

I also had to include the artwork by @thestardazedtrail there at the end because WHAT it’s amazing. Please check out her page, and Carrie’s page to see all the phenomenal character art she’s had done for this duology!!

Okay, I can’t talk too long. I love this book. I love Carrie. I love Grace & Rafe. Go read it. Made Like the Moon is out NOW and the second book, To Reflect the Sun comes out In November, so you have plenty of time to catch up on book 1 🤭

Since finishing this series this weekend, it’s come to my attention that while the series gets a lot of great attention, some of it is…the wrong kind of good attention?

While struggling to decide if I should post this, I’ve since spoken to SO many people who have reached out after I posted in my story about how I think the high-focus on romance in these books has ruined people’s view of them. And I was right!

Many people reached out and said they had been worried/hesitant to pick up the books because of how bookstagram portrays them. Which is such a shame!!

Through my story, some did say they were convinced to pick the books up, which did make me very happy. So I hope this post will do that as well.

I benefited a lot from this series. Emma is a woman dealing with grief from losing both parents, and I am in that same boat. She is so so so charming, and I think this is a series that EVERYONE can benefit from because it is just…so…fun? You won’t exactly leave with your life changed, but I believe you will leave smiling and feeling a little lighter.

I hope I was able to convey my issues properly. These are not romance books. Please don’t go in seeking romance, you will be disappointed, and miss a far grander picture (in my opinion).

I should mention, this is obviously a no spice series (at least thus far, but I’d be shocked if Brower ever included anything explicit in it) & it does have a few curse words, which typically bother me, but I was not bothered by these. No F words, mainly D & I think A?

A.R. Conwell books 📚

These two series with connecting worlds/characters are absolutely divine. @authorarconwell

Ocean of Ink & Tides of Secrets is a murder mystery romantic fantasy full of handwritten letters, magic gifts given by the tide, witty banter, and a sweet slow burn romance.

In the previous mentioned books, you meet darling Finn who now has his own TRILOGY 😍 though book one is only out at this moment. Veil of Deceit has everything you loved in the first installation and more. You can read each separately , though I highly advise reading the duology first for all the wonderful lore 😌

Here’s to waiting for book 2, Ring of Betrayal 💍 I simply can not wait, especially after VoD’s ending 🙃

You can see more about these No-Spice books further down on my page where i post a more in-depth review/content warnings.

My rifle, my dragon, and me 😌🐉

Introducing my next project, Wild West (& Wyverns)

I had this idea this time last year and being able to now put time and energy into it has been SO fun. You guys chose my next project so thank you for choosing this one!

It will be a standalone book set in America in the 1850s. I’ve never written historical fiction before so it’s been fun to learn about my home country. But of course, how fiction can it truly be when I’m throwing dragons in there 😂

I loved Louis L’Amour books in college and aim to make this book just like that, with a little more romance, and winged creatures. It’s going to be so fun and it’s been coming together so nicely.
