Yeat is the stage name of Noah Olivier Smith (born February 26, 2000), an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer.

He is known for his experimental hip-hop style—especially the “rage” sound—along with distinctive (often made-up or heavily stylized) vocabulary, Auto-Tuned melodic flows, and an unconventional fashion sense that mixes designer brands with balaclavas and other eye-catching looks.

Born in Irvine, California, to a Romanian mother and a father of Mexican and British descent, he spent part of his early childhood in Fullerton, California, before moving to the Portland, Oregon area (he attended high school in Lake Oswego). He later lived briefly in New York City and has been based in the Los Angeles area. He began releasing music around 2015–2016 (initially as Lil Yeat) and shortened the name to Yeat by 2018.

Yeat broke into wider prominence in mid-2021 after his mixtape 4L and debut studio album Up 2 Me (with tracks like “Gët Busy” and “Monëy So Big”) went viral on TikTok. Subsequent releases such as 2 Alive (2022), the EP Lyfe (2022), Afterlyfe (2023), 2093 (2024), Lyfestyle (2024, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200), Dangerous Summer (2025), and ADL (2026) have regularly charted in the Billboard 200 top 10. He has also collaborated with artists including Drake (notably on “IDGAF”).

In short, he’s one of the more distinctive and commercially successful voices in recent experimental/trap/rage-leaning hip-hop.
