Summer with SAA: Parker Schiltz

This summer I had the amazing opportunity to vacation through France, Switzerland, and Italy with my family! We got to see the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre in Paris, and biked around Versailles before heading to Switzerland, where we hiked the Alps and hang glided through the Alps. We stayed in a gorgeous mountain town, and then went to Cinque Terre in Italy. After hiking the coastline of Cinque Terre, we headed to Venice before heading back to IL! Back home, I got to spend lots of time with my high school friends, celebrate my sister’s high school graduation, and spend lots of time with my dogs :) by @drake_saa

Summer with SAA: Ella Hurst

Hey everyone! My name is Ella Hurst and this summer I had the opportunity to spend it in Europe. In June, my mom and I walked 250 kilometers from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain on the Camino De Santiago. After arriving back to Madrid, I said goodbye to my mom and started my study abroad experience with AIFS. I moved into my homestay, met wonderful friends from across the country, and traveled to: Valencia, Alicante, and Ibiza! I also got to try classic Spanish dishes, such as: paella, jamón y tomate, tortillas, and croquettes. I studied digital marketing while abroad, and made lasting memories during the World Cup #VivaEspaña! Looking ahead I can’t wait to be back in Des Moines, and I am so thankful @drakeuniversity supported me through this wonderful experience. Hasta luego! by @drake_saa
