Our young people have talent. We have a responsibility to help turn it into opportunity.
Last week, I was invited to speak at Goodwill Industries International branch in Chicago about workforce education, youth programs, and innovation alongside the mayor, deputy mayor, philanthropists, funders, board members, and fellow entrepreneurs.
I brought a conviction that drives our work at The Genius Center: young people need room to create, build, earn, and see a future for themselves.
Thank you, Goodwill, for the invitation and a powerful conversation.
They don’t just learn. They build.

Thank you Goodwill Chicago ! by @dralexislive

Economic justice should be the standard of prophetic voice. For three years we have partnered with the city of Chicago’s faith team to provide capacity building resources to faith based organizations, nonprofits and small businesses. In 2025 I served as a keynote speaker for the Faith Summit. My work is multifaceted - thank you @chicagosmayor for allowing this kind of partnership. Thank you to the hundreds of non profit leaders for your heart, work and hands in the communities - we are here to serve such I have, I will give- by @dralexislive

A heartfelt THANK YOU to my girl, my sis, the Apostolic voice, my forever friend, @dralexislive for allowing me the opportunity to serve, share, and empower some incredibly dope women at the 2026 Lady Maverick Conference in Dallas, Texas!!🔥🙌🏾🔥💪🏾🔥

The experience was truly ELECTRIFYING, filled with game-changing revelation, cutting-edge insight, sound wisdom, eye-opening strategies, meaningful connections, and incredible networking opportunities.

But above ALL else, the presence and power of God was in the ROOM. 🙌🏾 😭😭🙌🏾 There was healing, clarity, empowerment, and TRANSFORMATION & so much MORE.

I’m grateful for spaces where purpose, professional development, personal development and the presence of God can all occupy the same room.

Dr. Alexis, thank you again for your vision, leadership, your intentionality and commitment to creating an experience that equips women to embrace every facet of who they are. We didn’t just leave informed, we left TRANSFORMED! 🔥

Still thinking about Lady Maverick ✨

Such a good weekend. So many little moments really spoke to things I’ve already been praying about and thinking through… especially around creating, building and what’s next.

Grateful for @dralexislive and the vision behind Lady Maverick, and for the women I met, the wisdom shared and the connections throughout the weekend.

God has a way of putting you in the right room at the right time. 🙏🏾

Leaving encouraged and ready for what’s next. 🤍
