Shin Mao Dante is a manga by Go Nagai, inspired by a passage from the Divine Comedy where Lucifer is imprisoned on a frozen lake, from which he escaped to destroy the world. There are two versions of the manga, and I am showing you the second version, my favorite, because the previous one was unfinished in its publication on Kodansha. It can be considered the prototype of Devilman with thematic good and evil and design satan with will be taken up again later in Devilman.
