Anika’s mama in Tyler Perry’s Doing Life was MEAN as a damn snake. 😭😂

Judgmental.
Harsh.
Always got something to say.

And honestly? For a big part of the movie, she felt like the REAL villain in Anika and Carousel’s love story.

But what made it work is that she also felt very familiar.

Because we ALL know somebody’s mama who acts just like this. 👀

Now why did Gina come back to Hillman looking like Vivica A. Fox in Why Do Fools Fall in Love??! 🤣😭

It's the HAIR and the whole attitude for me! 😂

I KNOW I'm not the only one who sees the resemblance! 👀

Am I reaching or do y'all see it too?! 🤣👇🏾

TAMAR vs TOWANDA! 😂👀

Okay y'all, which Braxton sister gives the BIGGEST villain energy?
Because Tamar has her moments, but Towanda ain't exactly innocent either! 🤣

I'm just asking the question!

Carousel said he was a VIRGIN?!

Sir… I’m gonna need you to be serious. 😭😂

You mean to tell me this grown, attractive man has been walking around all this time untouched?

I’m calling BULLSH*T.

Maybe Tyler is trying to give us wholesome romance.
Maybe Carousel is telling the truth.
Maybe I’m just cynical as hell. 😂

But I need to know…

Did Y’ALL believe him?

Anika’s sisters in Tyler Perry’s Doing Life were getting on my LAST nerve! 😭😂

Judgmental as hell.
Always running their mouths.
Always thinking they know what’s best for somebody else.

But Carousel?

He got BOTH of their asses together! 👏🏾😂

And I loved every second of it.

Because sometimes your biggest critics are sitting right at the family dinner table.

Who else knows somebody whose family acts JUST like Anika’s? 👀

Can we PLEASE give Debbi Morgan her flowers?! 👏🏾💐

That woman has been acting her ASS off for decades, and I still don't think we talk about her nearly enough.

Her portrayal of Evelyn Braxton in Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart is a perfect example.

The hurt. The anger. The disappointment. The love.

Sometimes Debbi doesn't even have to SAY anything. Her face tells you the entire damn story.

That's ACTING. 👏🏾

I was TRYING to focus on Tyler Perry’s Doing Life…

but every time Anika came on screen, my brain said:

“Candace Owens.” 😭😂

And once I saw the resemblance, I could NOT unsee it.

No shade to the actress — she did her thing. My brain just betrayed me. 😂

Every show needs at least ONE bitch you can't stand. 🤣🤣🤣

And on A Different World?

Candace said, “I VOLUNTEER.” 🙋🏾‍♀️😂

She's ambitious.
She's self-interested.
She's messy.
She's gorgeous.
And she has absolutely NO problem being Hillman's resident bitch. 😂

Do I necessarily LIKE Candace?

Ehhhh. 🤣

But do I want her back?

HELL YES.

Because every good show needs somebody willing to stir up some shit, and Candace understood the assignment. 👏🏾

Should Candace come back and cause MORE chaos next season? 👀

I think A Different World has a REALLY good Season 2 storyline sitting right there with Nellie Gaines. 👀

She's inherited something much bigger than a restaurant.

The Pit represents Mr. Gaines, Hillman history and a piece of the ORIGINAL A Different World that longtime viewers immediately recognize. ❤️

But here's where I think the story gets interesting:

What happens when preserving your family's legacy starts competing with the life YOU actually want?

Let Nellie honor her grandfather.

Let her keep The Pit alive.

But also let us find out who Nellie Gaines is when she isn't simply carrying Mr. Gaines' legacy.

There's a whole story sitting there. 👏🏾

@therealdebbieallen @feliciapride — I'm just throwing this one into the writers' room universe. 😂👀

What do y'all think? Should Nellie get a bigger storyline?

Before the jokes, before the side-eye, before any commentary...

this part is sincere.

My condolences to Trina Braxton, the Braxton family, and the family and loved ones of Von Scales. ❤️

Grief is grief.

And no matter what kind of commentary comes after this, I wanted to make sure I acknowledged the very real loss first.

Listen...

I KNOW this is inappropriate. 😭😂

Trina Braxton has now lost two husbands, and instead of my brain behaving like a normal adult brain...

it immediately started writing a whole fictional Lifetime movie.

You can cuss me out in the comments.

Just don’t sit there acting like the thought didn’t cross your mind too. 😂

And before anybody gets carried away:

I am NOT accusing Trina Braxton of anything.

This is exaggerated comedy and commentary only.

Now listen… I am NOT defending cheating. 😭😂

But Miss Evelyn gives me such strong commanding-officer energy that my inappropriate brain started wondering:

Was Papa Braxton’s affair a transgression…

or was that man trying to ESCAPE?! 😂

Before somebody cusses me out: that is a JOKE. I don’t know that man’s motivations and I’m not pretending I do.
