Hello friends, we’ve got some great news!

We released two tracks on bandcamp today - the first single from our upcoming album: our interpretation of an iconic Irish poem by W.B. Yeats, backed by a new spooky murder ballad penned by James.

Today is Bandcamp Friday, when artists receive all the revenue from purchuses made today until midnight PST (3 a.m. eastern!).

You can find the link in all the usual places ✨

Digging through the newspaper archives at the library, hosts Zan Strumfeld and Michael Gregg (@zanandthewinterfolk) found macabre tales of the Capital Region's eerie past, and asked local musicians to write and perform a ballad based on one article. It is with great excitement that Zan and Michael are putting on their FOURTH (!!) iteration of the Ooky Spooky Musical Showcase, in which some of your favorite local musicians will debut brand-new, original songs based on true life historical crimes and macabre happenings in the Capital Region.

This show has received so much love over the years and we can’t wait to bring this new select group to the spooky stage. As per tradition, we have chosen a different venue across the region — Little Pecks in 2019, Cohoes Music Hall in 2024, Troy Listening Room in 2025. This year, we are in the brand spanking new Troy Savings Bank Music Hall’s Capital Region Music Hub — a super special space that we think will be perfect for this show.

🪦Join us Saturday, October 24 at 7:30pm for a night of unique, eerie, and beautiful storytelling at @troysavingsbankmusichall.

This year’s (updated) lineup:
Barbie Barker (@barbie_barker_)
The Belle Curves (@the.belle.curves)
Caity Gallagher (@caitygallaghermusic)
Drank the Gold (@drankthegold)
Graham Tichy (@grahamtichy)
Julia Alsarraf
Michael Gregg (@michael_gregg.docx)
TJ Foster (@tjfostermusic)
Zan Strumfeld (@zernstrongfield)

Tickets available at the link in our bio and on the Hall’s website. See you there 👻
