gained my crown the other day🩵

I have so many words and yet can’t put them together. Groups of girls always intimidated me and I struggled to find my place after moving to Texas. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified going into recruitment and if I even said I wanted to. The long days and house after house & not getting home most nights until 11-midnight, I was sure that this wasn’t my thing and I felt like dropping. ZTA being my last house didn’t feel coincidental. The moment I walked in I was having genuine conversations with each and every woman that came to speak to me. No matter how small the conversation was, I was already laughing and didn’t have to fake being someone I wasn’t just for the sake of an invitation back.

To my sweet family, I know I say it all of the time but I truly love each of you with all my heart. How lucky am I to be blessed with such a beautiful and thoughtful big and welcomed into her family. Thank you for making this day so memorable and special for me and allowing me to be apart of your lives so deeply.

I couldn’t forget the two women who drove all the way down to celebrate this special moment with me. I owe it all to the both of you for encouraging me to try to be apart of something bigger than myself. I can’t imagine my first semester of college without all of my sisters pushing and guiding me. Always knowing I have someone to call and a place to be is such a privilege to have as a first semester college student.
Thank you for believing in me and pushing me out of my comfort zone.

Yesterday marked a very special day of my life that will forever be replayed in my head for the rest of my life 🩵

Rylie- You have such a warm smile and you light up every single room you walk into. You have the ability to make anyone you speak to feel so heard no matter how small the conversation may be. I’m soso grateful I’ve been given the opportunity to grow closer to you and I’m so excited to see what the future holds.

Marin- You are one of the funniest people I have ever had the opportunity to be around and the way you can fully be yourself with no hesitation or doubt is something I truly admire about you. You have the sweetest heart and I adore how you manage to make people laugh even on the days they think it’s impossible.

My beautiful big- I’ve never felt so cared and loved for in such a small amount of time. I love literally EVERYTHING about you. I can see myself in you and how lucky am I to have such a wonderful woman to look up to. I wouldn’t rather have anyone else to grow closer with and call my big. Your bubbly personality and such inviting presence has genuinely changed my first semester of college. I can’t put into words how excited I am for everything that will follow throughout our years in college and beyond. I love you so much forever and always.
