POSTS STORIES REELS

This is a little introduction to who I am – and what inspires the work I love to create.

If you’re looking for story driven, travel-inspired surface pattern designs, I’d love to connect! Drop me a message or visit the link in bio for a peek into my portfolio.

And if you’re also someone who is inspired by far away places as much as I do – say hi in the comments! I’d love to meet you.

Hey guys, did you know?
with my label "draw and wander" I sell postcards, prints and other nice products on Etsy for those who love traveling as much as I do.
And for me, the expression "to wander" perfectly describes the travel vibe: letting yourself be carried away in to new worlds, wandering around and curiously discovering new places on your trips through the world.
That's why I'm always drawn out into the world - the feeling of absolute freedom and loosing yourself a little bit.
During my travels, I see the inspiration everywhere: landscapes, animals, plants, handicrafts, patterns and ornaments, lighting conditions and colors. The list is endless and the world is full of wonders. Behind every adventure and every journey there is an idea, a motive or a new impulse.
With my pictures I want to capture this feeling of being traveling, the small and big moments that make traveling so special and that you want to remember forever...and pass them on to you!
For this I design decorative illustrations in the form of e.g. individual maps, recipes, landscape scenes, spot illustrations or motivating letterings.
I hope they will inspire or encourage you to many more journeys or keep the memories of adventures you've already had alive.

What does a jungle boat ride in Ecuador have to do with surface design?
Travel is often where my inspiration starts – small moments, colors, or details that stay with me. On this trip, it was parrots!

Back home, they turned into sketches – and finally into a finished pattern, ready for stationery, textiles, or home décor.
Available for licensing.

Where would you love to see this design? Let me know in the comments!

So I finally set the table for the new @creatsyofficial Halloween Challenge.

This is my Spooky Garden collection, a hand-drawn surface pattern design for Halloween party tableware and stationery, which is inspired by autumn flowers, little bats flying around and celestial motifs. I think it could look very cute on paper plates, party cups, napkins and popcorn boxes and i hope it will come true soon! Cross your fingers!

And here is my second entry for the @slowdownstudio art competition. I really fell in love with the colors. What do you think about the colorpalette?

This is my first entry for the @slowdownstudio art competition. I wanted to create a dreamy desert scene for a long time and that was the perfect opportunity for it. I really like how it turned out. What do you think?

Spooky Season is starting soon! This one is inspired by last flowers still blooming in orange, plum and lavender and little bats that come out at dusk and fly around. Cozy and a little spooky at the same time, which is exactly the feeling I wanted in the collection.

The palette is warm and modern rather than the usual black and orange, with deep burgundy, soft lilac and pumpkin orange that remind me of autumn leaves. The hero print has hand-drawn florals with bats, moons and stars, there’s also a checkerboard, a lilac bat print and a plum diamond grid blender to go with it. I’d live to see it on gift wrap and seasonal stationery. Fingers crossed that this is going to happen soon.

So happy to share my submissions for the @get.casely artcall hosted by @yourcreativementorship

Spooky Garden is a mini collection that feels playful and a little spooky without leaning too heavily into traditional Halloween colors. The collection combines hand painted florals, bats, moons, and stars in a modern autumn palette, giving the collection a personal and organic feel.

Now I am curious: which is your favorite? Type 1, 2 or 3 in the comments 🤩

A jungle story told in pattern.

Lush greens, playful parrots, winding snakes, and bold palm trees come together in this tropical pattern collection which is inspired by a trip to the amazon forest.

Created for fabric design, nursery textiles, and children’s products, these prints bring a sense of storytelling and character to every surface.

What does this pattern have to do with a trip to the amazon rain forest in ecuador?
Travel is often where my inspiration comes from and this trip with its stunnig wildlife was truly amazing. It was so much fun turning this experience into this mini collection.

My new collection Jungle Expedition here and i am so happy to introduce:

A playful mini collection designed for nursery + baby goods which i created for the @creative_studio_collective art call with @kinderclothdiapers. The collection is inspired by my trip to the amazon forest in ecudor which is full of tiny and big wonders and has such a stunning wildlife. It was so much fun bringing this memories into this mini collection.

Two color palettes, two completely different vibes. I’m always absolutly amazed at how much color can shift the whole feeling of a collection.
The blue/ lilac version feels light and bright and with its fresh and airy colors its perfect for the spring season.
The darker palette is moodier and more night-sky and I can easily picture it for fall/winter (or even a subtle Halloween moment).
I like having both so the same artwork can work across different seasons without losing the story.
