Sweet, smart, chill, social with kids/other dogs, home not even 24 hours and already giving her Dad heart attacks.. It’s just you and me kid…

When I got into photography back in 2004 (it’s crazy to think it’s been that long already), part of it came from my love of music and capturing the passion and expression that artists had when they perform. So getting to capture that from some of my idols is a privilege…

Josh Homme (formerly of Kyuss) and Queens of the Stone Age have been a mainstay in my life since the 2000 Rated R album (recorded in a place I was lucky enough to visit, ‘Rancho De La Luna’, in one of my favourite magical places in the world -Joshua Tree..) That warm analog ‘Rancho’ sound, would provide some of the greatest music of all time from the likes of Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Iggy Pop, Arctic Monkeys, PJ Harvey, Band of Horses, UNKLE, Kurt Vile, Fu Manchu and the Eagles of Death Metal..

Gotta say, it was a pretty cool moment last night meeting a true legend of MMA and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, the “Iceman” Chuck Liddell, at a great event supporting women’s mixed martial arts @pawfcmma . He’s a UFC Hall of Fame inductee and a man that can be credited for bringing mixed martial arts into the mainstream of sports… He was the first fighter I took a real interest in, and it’s pretty incredible what he has been able to do over his 20 year professional career. It’s hard to imagine where mixed martial arts would be globally today without his contribution…

Kicking off Calgary Stampede ‘23 with a 🔥 set from Melbourne’s own, Australian house music producer, DOM DOLLA...

[Born in Manila, raised in Darwin in the outback of Northern Australia, Dom discovered dance music when his Mother handed him a copy of Basement Jaxx’ 2001 album ‘Rooty’ while on holidays in Denpasar, Bali. The rest is history...]

Well everyone that knows me, knows one thing for certain - I love the Summer… It’s my favourite season by far, and I think it goes back to being a kid and spending the summers at the lake cottage with nothing to do but swim, boat, bike and just take each day in, with nowhere to be..

Today, those summer days are spent differently. Now it’s trying to be everywhere at once, travelling, golfing, at the lake, road trips, still taking it all in, but being appreciative for every weekend the sun still shines on my face :)

Here’s to the first weekend of Summer 2023 🥂
