✌🏼TEVAR✌🏼 Tuesday over here! TEVAR- Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair This was the first one done at our facility and the first one done by Dr. Nukala! 👏 Using Gore stent grafts we covered the aneurysm into the LSA. This procedure is team driven- Dr. Forcella our cardiologist assisted, Kirsten our NP, and me and Salina-techs. Precise movements and placement landed this graft ✨ beautifully ✨ Lt radial access, right femoral artery access, and left femoral artery access - flossed through the right groin to the left radial for our rail. See my last post for fun facts about aneurysms! #goremedical #vascular #vascularhealth #cathlab #healthcare by @dray.inthelab
✨EVAR✨ fun to start the week! What’s an EVAR? Endovascular aneurysm repair. The aortic aneurysm was covered with a stent graft to reinforce the vessel wall and prevent rupture. With access in both femoral arteries, we successfully placed the stent grafts covering the aneurysm. AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) ✨ fun ✨ facts- 🩸 men are more likely to have one 🩸 most are harmless if small 🩸 usually no symptoms 🩸 about 10% survival rate if an aneurysm ruptures Products used- Gore dry seal sheaths Glidewire advantage Backup meir wire Marker pigtail Standard angle glidewire SOS catheter Gore stent grafts Case done by Dr. Nukala 👏 #vascular #healthcare #vascularhealth #endovascular #aneurysm by @dray.inthelab

Gonadal vein embolization on a Thursday 🙌🏼 Using @penumbra.inc coils Products used- 17 coils (packing and shaping) Bern 100cm cath Glide advantage wire 5f 45cm destination sheath Patients needing these procedures typically have pelvic pain, pain during intercourse, and heaviness feeling. This is a straight forward procedure selecting the vein and then carefully placing the coils. In this case - Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE) is a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure for chronic knee pain (usually from osteoarthritis) that reduces inflammation by injecting tiny particles to block small, overgrown vessels. These tiny particles used are embospheres with the help of @meritmedical 🙌🏼 Once the blush is found on the angiogram we injected half a cc of embospheres into the target area and slowly watched it disappear! Can’t do it without a solid team 🫰🏼 Case by Dr. Nukala #vascular #vascularhealth #cathlab #healthcare #kneepainrelief by @dray.inthelab
PE fridayyyy 🫁 Successful penumbra @penumbra.inc thrombectomy! Immediate relief and no shortness of breath after for this patient. ❔What’s a PE ❔ 🫁 Pulmonary embolism is caused by a blocked artery in the lungs. The most common cause of such a blockage is a blood clot that forms in a deep vein in the leg and travels to the lungs, where it gets lodged in a smaller lung artery 🫁 Also keeping the vibes good with a good team is the best! Case by Dr. Nukala. #savealife #pulmonaryembolism #cathlab #vascular #adventhealth by @dray.inthelab
Snare action 🐍 The atrial portion of the Avier by @abbottglobal was dislodged after successful placement the day before.. Successfully snared using the goose neck snare and a JR4 guide catheter. After removing the device, we placed a new one with high hopes this doesn’t happen again! #electrophisiology #cardiac #cathlab #abbottmedical #leadlesspacemaker by @dray.inthelab
